I wash it every other day, so it doesn't dry out or fade and after one day of washing, it is greasy and bad-smelling. I get this after my father, its not really a problem because its nice and straight like I want it!! lol, but what can I do so its healthy looking? I don't want medicated shampoo because my hair is colored and I used color-safe shampoo and yeah I do condition!

As for the oily part, try only conditioning from the mid-shaft (middle of the hair strand) to the ends, not from root out.
Then for the smelly part, if you wash your hair at night ,don't. Wash it in the morning, every morning. If your using a quality product it should help keep it from fading, even if you wash it everyday. If after that it still fades consult with you hair stylist for a double pigmented color. If that doesn't help you may want to seek the help of a dermatologist. Not all scalp problems can be solve via hair products!
Remember... Sun , tanning beds, and chlorine can all fade color very quickly (even the little bit of extra time we spend in the sun during summer) Good Luck!

Ok, the best way to go a little while without washing your hair is to make sure you're not brushing too close to the scalp. Then sprinkle a little baby powder or talc on your hair and shake it out. Also, to keep your color, add a kool aid packet of the color that closely matches your color to your shampoo.
