If you really want to have kids, specifically with her, she could possibly have her eggs frozen to be used for in-vitro fertilization at a later date. If she is having her uterus removed, perhaps you could find someone willing to be a surrogate mother. Just a thought. :o) Good on you for wanting children so badly!

Personally I say that you need to really look at your values. If you are more worried about future children than how your gf is...then obviously you weren't looking at her to be the mother of your future children. If she needs a she needs to have her plumbing removed it is for a reason. You still have options...with her.

First...adoption. Blood doesn't matter. Once that baby is in your arms you never know the difference! I promise!!!

Second...does she have to have the surgery right now? Sometimes the doc says it needs done but it can wait and you can even have 1 possibly 2 children. It all depends on what it is and such...if it is a necessary surgery that can wait, then wait...however it seems this is not in that situation.

Third...do the invitro thing with the surrogate mom. Just be careful with that. There are a lot of surrogate mom's out there that in the end decide they are too attached and then never give the baby up to you and your gf. With it being her egg and your sperm, as long as the baby is delivered in teh right State you shouldn't have a problem. There are some states that would require you and your gf to adopt the baby after, even though the baby is genetically yours.

Mostly I would say...really think over what is more important. I know children are important REALLY important, but is it worth giving up the love of your life for a biological child when there are tons of other kids out there that need loving as well?

You don't mention why she has this done?? Is it cause she is sick and needs to or is it more for her convenience?
If it is not absolutely necessary for her health, does she know how you feel about it? If she will get the surgery; you could look into having some of her eggs removed and stored in a clinic and then later another woman could be impregnated with your sperm and your girlfriends eggs. Biologically this would be your child. I don't know the details, but I've heard that it can be done i some cases.
Another option is to have another woman giving birth to your child and then you and your girlfriend adopt it.
I would encourage you to do a regular adoption though..

ARE YOU SURE SHE WANTS A BABY WITH YOU BECOUSE THAT JUST DOSES NOT SOUND RIGHT. I MEAN WHAT HAPPEND THAT SHE NEEDS TO HAVE THIS DONE. I WAS TOLD DR. WONT DO STUFF LIKE THAT UNLESS YOU HAVE TWO BABIES OR AT LESAT 25. DOES SHE WANT AN OTHER BABY, HOW OLD IS THE ONE SHE HAS NOW. MAYBE SHES AFFRAID TO GO THROUGH WITH YOU WHAT SHE WENT THROUGH WITH HER OTHER BABIES DAD. I HAD THAT PROBLEM WHEN I GOT WITH SOME ONE, I HAD A PROBLEM GIVING HIM A BABY BECOUSE OF MY PAST, BUT I FINALLY GAVE HIM A BABY BOY. WHEN IS THIS GOING TO HAPPEN, WHEN IT DOES MAKE SURE YOUR IN THE ROOM WIHT HER. I HATE TO PUT THIS IN YOUR HEAD BUT WHAT IF THE PROCIDURE IS REALLY AN ABORTION. IF YOU WANT KIDS TALK TO HER BEFORE THIS PROCIDURE HAPPENS AND TELL HER TO SAVE HER EGGS SO THAT WAY YOULL CAN FIND SOMEONE TO HAVE THE BABY FOR YOU. YOU KNOW YOUR SPERM HER EGGS AND SOMEONE TO HOLD THE EMBRIO. THIS WILL ALSO MAKE IT YOUR BLOOD. HEY ILL EVEN DO IT JUST TO GIVE YOU THE KID YOU WANT.

Have you thought of a surrogate mother? When she has her hysterectomy they may be able to leave her ovaries and then it would be her DNA also. Also if you adopt you will love the child as much as you would if he is yours biologically especially if you adopt a baby or very young child. I’m getting 4 new grandchildren when my son marries his finance and I already love them as much as his 2 from his ex-wife. So you see it is possible because they will be yours

A child is a blessing even if its not your blood. If you love your girlfriend it shouldn't be a issue. Reverse the situation, what if it was you that was having problems with your baby making stuff?

You should tell her exactly how you feel and if she doesn't love you enough to see help complete your dreams then you should leave or you will always regret not having children for the rest of your life. Having your own child or family is the greatest experience in life.

wow, that's kinda hard. If they told her she needs to have Hysterectomy there isn't really much you can do. It's to save her life. if you love her so much don't leave her for that! right now the best thing to do is to find a surrogate mother and have your girlfriends eggs frozen. good luck.

So do I, but to find the lady who does- that's a challenge. Maybe my Russian friend does, too. So if you could find yourself a gf, who wants children, you've got it made.Your gf should get a second opinion. However, you could hire a surrogate mother.
