The happiest moment of my life...well, I've had many happy moments in a long life, but I think the one that stands out was when I and two friends escaped from a deep cave we'd gotten lost in after many hours when our flashlights had all but run down on batteries. It was a limestone cave, entered via two drops of about 100 feet that was an old sinkhole. It was a popular cave among university students, which we were, and we went in the middle of the night, telling no one. Somewhere along the way, we lost track of the line laid down as a guide by the spelunking club. We kind of panicked, I think, and tried to find the line again. We did find the two "squeezes" at last which had been on the way in, and now led out of the tunnels to the main cave room. "Squeezes" are extremely narrow spaces in the rock where you have to wiggle like a worm to get through. One friend had his shirt virtually ripped off him going through the worst "squeeze." Finally we got to the main room. The bats were disturbed by our commotion, but we paid them no mind. At the drop, we found someone had taken the rope up that allowed easy climbing up the 100 feet. We scaled it anyway, and I don't think there were any happier guys then we were just then. Each of us got down and kissed the solid ground above that cave.

It has to be either when I got saved, or when my mom got remarried! Those were both happy times in my life! Ummm, I think I am going to have to go with when I got saved!

I flew home both times my mum and dad had surgery. It meant a lot to them and it meant more to me. I was just so happy to be with them and I know it meant so much that I had made the effort.

i have to say that i don't remember the date that i accepted Christ...but the moment that will always stick with me is when the doctor said "daddy, here's your daughter, do you want to hold her?" she was red and slimy and hadn't been cleaned up yet, and i fell head over heels in love with that tiny squirming baby...
