Almost died in a car crash. I was a passenger, the seat belt didn't work and I hit the windscreen with my head, I basically detached the windscreen from the car and made a hole in it, my head didn't go fully through though, that have killed some people.

I had multiple body cuts and lost blood, my scalp was full of shattered crystal, I stayed conscious after the crash but I wasn't able to move though, my spine was shocked. The ambulance got there in 15 minutes, it felt like 15 hours.

I didn't break a single bone, but the blood lost made me go unconscious after arriving the ER, I had a big cut in the right side of my thorax, some piece of metal went through it, I got my arm cut and I don't know how that happened, last thing I remember was entering the operating room, I didn't feel a thing a that point. Later I woke up in a room and found out multiple small wounds in my body, some I wonder how they happened, everything was so fast.

And just to make it worse, my medical insurance was outdated by two weeks. I sued the responsible of the accident, but since he didn't have insurance and had no money, he went to jail and I had to pay all medical expenses. It went over 10,000 USD and I didn't go for plastic surgery (not enough money for that), as far as I stayed alive and with every thing in its place, I was happy. Recovery was painful.

It took me two years to remove all the shattered glass (the part that wasn't removed in the hospital), I did that job at home when something came up from my skin. My forehead scar still itches and haven't fully healed. Yay!

The doc said I was lucky, a lot of people die in accidents like that and usually because the ambulance doesn't arrive in time.

two things.

1) Being in a bus that tipped over. I was four. I was relatively unhurt, but I had to sit there listening to a woman screaming for her baby because she couldn't find it. I didn't even have my mom to comfort me because she's a nurse and she had to tend to people with injuries.

2) Having a friend faint of the risers at choir contest and watching him lie bleeding and unconscious on the stage. And then hearing people talking about it like it had been something cool and exciting.

Oh, and the time my leg was run over by a car sucked pretty bad, too.

The worst thing that ever happened to me is when for five years of my life, I turned away from God, and did not walk in His ways. They were the most miserable empty years of my life, but I have learned from my misery and mistake, and never want to go back there ever again!
