Lousy! Lousy jobs in general.
The smartest thing to do is get out and get some civilian education to re-enter the workforce as an educated specialist.

I can't speak directly for the Navy because I was not in the Navy and only knew a folks who were. But I can tell you about the US Air Force and I can't imagine it is significantly different.
Personnel separating from the Air Force literally qualified for nearly any job in the civilian economy. The Air Force had people who did everything. We had people you paved roads, repaired air craft, built buildings, fixed plumbing, operated heavy equipment, piloted fixed and rotary wing aircraft, doctors, clergy, cops, administrative people, truck drivers, fire fighters and the list goes on and on. The only job I can think of that we didn't have was salesmen and you could say a recruiter had that job. So if you are planning to go Navy the job you get will probably be available on the outside. Even if you deal with weapons the government has civilian positions that can make use of that training and experience. In addition your security clearance is an expensive item for a military contractor to get for an employee so if you get a security clearance in the Navy, especially a Top Secret clearance you will be very attractive to a great number of employers who do business with the government.
And GOOD LUCK on your time in uniform.

The navy is a good start for just about any job. I hear that some companies will hire you for security or police. If your navy record is good, employers like the discipline it instills in you.

Depends upon what they want, as well as what they did while on active duty. There are hundreds of jobs in all branches of the military, most of which have direct civilian counterparts in industry and business.
