Who's saved?

HEY THAT GUY:
Being saved just means that
1. You realize that you are a sinner (apparently you got that one covered, you just said that there's lots wrong with you).
2. You know that you fall short of God's laws.

3. You admit it to Him, and ask for His forgiveness, and accept that Jesus took the punishment you deserve for your sins, and accept Jesus as your savior. Kinda like a proxy, get it? He stood (or hung, if you will) in your place.

This "saves" you from the wrath of a perfect God who can accept no less than perfect. Christ was, and died for us, therefore, He is our Savior. Now when God looks at us, He sees us (even when we still mess up) through the blood of His son, making us "clean", or sin-free.

WOW, Huh?!?!

AND TO JJ:
It IS, in fact, an "exclusive club", but ANYONE can be a member, as long as they accept that the membership fee was paid! What's so bad about being exclusive?

By God's grace via His Son Jesus Christ I am saved.

I accepted Him into my life and I did what the Bible said to do....

"That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."-Romans 10:9, the Bible

That is a promise from God.

My good works did not save me Jesus did, though I am not saying that good works are pointless, no they are required of you in your Christian life, however those works did'nt save me.... Jesus did.

I do good works because I am saved, not in order to be saved.

"For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works so that no man can boast."-Ephesians 2:8-9, the Bible

I needed salvation and Jesus was my salvation, without Him, I would be on my way to hell, not because I was a bad person. Because Jesus is the only one who can erase sins and bring us to God, our good deeds alone cannot bring us to God. If you make up your own version of God that has no hell, than how can your god be the real God. God is God no others like Him, there must be a hell for there to be justice in this world, otherwise Hitler got away with it.

All I can say is that I know God as my Father and Jesus as my savior brother and Lord and the Holy Spirit as my helper. All because I confessed and accepted Jesus.... my name is in the book of life... nothing will ever erase it. and when I die I will see my friends family and my Jesus face to face. Haleluya, thank you God.

it bothers me when people say "saved." Like it's an exclusive club, or an ad for a car. It's not something to be advertised or handed out like candy. It can only be felt by the individual, and no one else. i'm not even sure i like the phrase...seems so....exclusive....
