and then try to punish us Israelis by selling Egypt fighter planes and arms that can be used to attack us? They did this knowing that it is in direct violation of both the Egypt-Israel Peace Agreement, as well as the US-Israel Memorandum of Agreement guaranteeing that the US would not let Egypt arm itself to the point where it could launch an attack against Israel. The US has already cut off much of her cooperation with Israel, punishing her for trading with China.

For those who said that Egypt is not an enemy of Israel, that is not what the Tanach says

Well, my Jewish friend, perhaps it's time you decided who your friends are? Now, is not a good time to piss off the US, because you feel the need to sell to China, weapons the US would deem provocative. Or perhaps you think that China will come to your aid in the event Iran raises it's hand to you.

You can't have it both ways, either China's your friend, trading partner and protector, or it's the US.

I read the article and it just sounds like a man making lots of accusations. Also it seems as though he says Israel leans on the USA and gets mistreated badly.. If Israel was so dependant as he implied and us the bully which he also implied theres no way you all would of been able to stand strong in the midst of all the craziness in the mid east. But you have! Maybe im just ignorant but i ve always believed that we ARE friends and allies. Propaganda everywhere, it does get confusing, whos telling the truth whos not? The only way we would know is to have the truth that our govt officials have and hide from us. And that goes for all countries.

Israel never had better friends in the White House than Richard Nixon and GWB... nobody is punishing anyone for trade with china.... get with the program.... quit reading nonsense.

The author seems to ignore the fact that GWB supported Israel to the point of having NOTHING to do with YA... refusing to sit at a table with him until he would acknowledge Israel and call off his fatah dogs. The author is a GWB HATER... not an Israeli lover.

I just went back and saw something.... this was my 666th answer.... coincidence?

The US should not be friend with Israel :
1 - Israel is a country only for Jews (Christians there consider them self as Palestinian )
why not supporting Lebanon , Lebanon got more diversity , 18 ethnics groups (Catholics , Maronite , Sunni , Druzes , Shiaa , orthodox , ... )
2 - Israel claims to be a DEMOCRACY ... but its a fake one ... you know what I am talking about ! .
3 - Why being friends with one Israel and have 40 countries as enemy ... The opposite is also possible and better ! .
PEACE

And the United States has given Israel alot of our technology.
Egypt is not her enemy, just like Mexico and Canada andFrance or Germany is not ours.
It is the religion factor that gets people going.
The fear factor.
Israel has nuclear capabilities. They have never used it in 40 years.
Do you think that all those countries wouldn't use it against them?
In a second.
And I have not heard of one terrorist strike by Israel against any of their enemies.
But everyday I hear even CNN report about Hamas or Hezbollah or whatever little bunch of idiots that have been reared to hate Israel doing unspeakable things to just people going to work in Israel. Or children.

Nobody's perfect, especially in Middle East politics, but I think it would be hard for Israel to find a better friend than the U.S. We acknowledge Israel's right to exist (where many others don't) and are just about the only country trying to put an end to Islamic extremism.

I did not realize that was the case.....However I still believe the U.S. - Israel Relationship is strong.

Total Direct Aid to Israel Conservatively Estimated at Almost $105 Billion http://www.washington-report.org/archives/April_2005/0504016.html

At least for now, America seems one of the strongest allies we have. Of course that according to the Prophecies in the Tanach this will change one day.
But for now, let us keep this strange "friendship".
And about Egypt - they seem the most moderated Arab country around here. For now. Until that changes too.

The United States is still friends with Israel. That link you gave is just nonsense propaganda. The US still sends much foreign aid to Israel and things will be ok.

Egypt is the only country that recognizes Israel.. Without U.S. arms your nation would have been overrun in 1946. Without the U.S. Israel dies.
