i have black hair and i spend a lot of time in the sun
its slowly getting dark brown highlights but i want it lighter
is there any products u can buy that makes your hair a little lighter that are not too expensive and dont damage your hair a lot.
i used sunsilk custom highlights when i was in australia it worked but i cant find it anywhere in america is there anything else that works?

and people listen, im not dying my hair if i could i wouldnt be dumb enough to ask this question i wanna get something like sunsilk custom highlights and im not putting any lemon or cr*p like that

Yes, you need to buy a 'lightening shade' and apply that to your hair following the manufactures instructions, before putting on the dye

Yes, but stay away from grocery store and drug store products. If you have a Sally's store, try there - they have people who can better help you. I prefer products made by Matrx but there are lots of other decent ones.
If you don't have a Sally's, call a local hair salon and ask if they know where to find a professional beauty store.

U can go to the hair part of any store really and get a dark brown or wat ever color u want and then take it buy it 1st ad then dye ur hair

Get a product like Sun-in, it's a spray and you can get it at just about any drugstore.

just put a little bit of lemon juice in it or vinegar or hydrogen peroxide (in streaks)

there is this new stuff out buy dove it is made to lightn or darken hair(i think)
