if you went to your doctor for treatment and he started flirting with you and always tells you how pretty you are and makes it obvious that he is being VERY unethical with all of the comments and behavior, would you fel guilty if you started enjoying the attention, and flirting back? my doctor has avery bad habit of this and he is hella old like 50 and he isn't a bit cute, so i know im not attracted to his looks, i just think he thought that he could kinda overstep that line with me for some reason and it's kind of bothering me because now i look forward to my appointments, i kinda feel like he knew what he was doing because it started on my very 1st visit and i knew that and has continued up until now and that was like 4 months ago. all i started out doing was going for some tests, now it seems like all i do is stress over him, it;s sooo irritating. im in my early 20s and i feel as if he in a way used his job as a doctor to take advantage of the situation, what do u guys think

It's so very wrong to flirt back. You don't know with how many girls or ladies he has done this so far...and if you are the first- he might think it's cool to flirt with a patient, because you don't seem to mind- in fact you seem to be enjoying it. For all the female patients' sake do not continue encouraging his behavior. In fact I would look for a different doctor if I was you ...and be aware of any scandals that will include that particular doctor,...one day you might be able to help as a witness.

You need to get another doctor, thats number one. 2. You need to treat yourself with more respect. It sounds to me like you were sexually abused or in some other way abused and have a tough time standing up for yourself. Plus the sexual overtones , you seem to enjoy the attention in some ways. It is a way to manipulate men and people who were abused often feel the need to control. Its not a bad habit, its unethical and immoral and he is abusing the doctor patient relationship, but you are letting him!! Get Out of there!!

No don't flirt with him because it no telling how many girls he do like that. And if you let him know you like it only make him think it ok and really it not ok for a doctor do a patient like that.

I think you should contact some one at the American Medical Association and ask them.AMA. Possibly an attorney as well,
but try not to flirt with him[lol].

you can either talk to you doctor and tell him to stop it or you can go search for another doctor if this is really bothering you that much and making you feel uncomfortable

No, but I think it's wrong to look up people's older questions and ask them why they asked them.
