I asked a question about getting help with neighbours 5 barking dogs?

This was a genuine, needing help sort of question but while most answers were friendly and helpful, a few were downright nasty, evasive and rude. Why are some people like that??? If they can't say anything positive then maybe they should keep well out of it. Does anyone else agree with me??? I actually found it quite upsetting that some were being soooooo rude!!!!!!

\the rude ones were the 2 people in particular that told me to get a life and asked wether I had nothin else to do and must be unemployed, not the others with i actually found funny and entertaining!!! thanks to everyone else who answered bot not to the 2 in question.

Dont take it personally sweetie, as with everywhere, you get some nice helpful people, and some who just dont actually care. Just blank out the unhelpful ones, and read carefully the ones that make a nice suggestion, and reward them with a 'best answer'. I missed the actual question about the dogs myself, hope you managed to resolve it.

One dog barking is enough to drive anyone bonkers. But five - well then the local council need to be told. Maybe send the Council a recording of the dogs too......

It's not the dogs fault though it is the owners and some owners just don't have the first idea about what sort of nuisance they are causing. Some people just like making noise for noise sake.......

If your neighbours are running a kennels - have they got planning permission for it?????? Another thing to ask the Council.

My neighbours dog used to bark all day. I was sent a form to fill in by the council which was easy to fill in - "24 hour barking" was enough for them to take action...

Have you tried to RSPCA it may be that the dogs are being kept in unclean, unsavoury conditions - something the RSPCA are very hot on.

We have put up with a Barking Dog for over 18 months. Every morning we are woken up between 6.30 and 6.50 listening to this poor Dog ,it is put out in the Back Garden in ALL Weathers,
Notes were put through the Owners Door,nothing happened so this week I got in touch with the Environmental Health Dept. at our local Council who sent a Letter to the Dog Owners and also sent me a Form to fill in to Record anymore Barking and Howling from this Dog.
At the moment the Dog is being put out later,but it is still a nuisance, especially with the weather being Hot and having to close our Windows and Doors up,I don't think the Dog is enjoying being in the Heat either.
Just contact your Local Council,ours were very Helpful, do hope yours will be too.

Some people have nothing else better to do than to try to make others feel bad to try and boost themselves. In actuality they really only prove themselves immature and juvenile. Also some just say anything quick to get 2 points. You are not always going to get people that care but it is worth the incrediby good advice from the ones that do care.

It goes with the territory. It is upsetting, but you have to roll with it. Btw, what was the best anwswer to your Q? I used to have a house next to some sheltie owners. I tried calling police (wouldn't respond). I talked to the owners (talk about a RUDE response). Finally, I took a teaspoon of vinegar and diluted it with water, and filled a squirt gun with this mixture. Whenever I worked in my backyard, the dog would come would come over to a hole in the fence and bark at me. I took out my squirt gun and gave him a drink. It didn't cure anything, but I felt a LOT better.
