Depends on how sore your muscles still are and what kind of work out. If it hurts to walk, just stretch easily - no tearing of muscles! If you're only a little sore, a little light workout (stress light) may help the muscles start moving and get the blood flowing through them again to help promote healing. But none of that lifting small cars stuff - you have to respect the healing time of your muscles so they can heal and build. Everyone's muscles are very different, too, so what works for one person won't necessarily help another. Also - lots of water will help them as well. Stay hydrated!

Two days after you workout is when you'll be the most sore. You should stretch your muscles everyday and maybe take up a routine that worked each area well only once or twice a week. Recovery time is just as important as the workout itself.

If your muscles are still soar after 2 days, that's normal, especially if you haven't worked those muscles in a long time. The soreness means your breaking down the muscle and it needs to heal to be able to do the same amount of effort for the next time, and that's normal and good. muscles need that soar feeling to be able to move forward and grow bigger to keep up with the demand of more weights. you need to feel the feel the stiffness and burn to see the results.

I'd say, do some stretches and a light work out. Depends how sore you are. Sometimes a workout will help but not if you actually injured something - like tore a muscle etc.

If you have not worked out in 2 days, then yes, work out. It will actually help the soreness in your muscles. If you worked out yesterday, then no, do not work out today.

If you haven't worked out in a long time, your muscles WILL be sore. The easiest way to work out the "kinks" is to work those same muscles out.

Yep. Take some ibuprofen or naproxen and work through the stiffness. Just make sure to warm up and cool down thoroughly to prevent any injury, and take it a little lighter than you normally would.
