She claims I owe $22,000 ,& that I have never paid a dime. I only owe about $4,000 and the state of Missouri can prove it cause I have been paying for 6 years! She moved to Oklahoma and told them I have never paid. They believed her without a doubt, cause Ok. never checked to see if there in fact was a case ever opened. She is also in violation of our divorce decree. Why is it that I cant get anyone to help me sort this out and see to it that my EX is prosecuted ?

either get or lawyer or counter sue for falsified documents if she has any, get a divorce court attorney. Have your attorney fax, e-mail, call the treasurer or family affairs department, or whatever there names are of OK [ abbreviation ], and have those documents sent over.

Its not fraud at all. Because she is not representing you or product unjustly. She just wants money.

[ 1] Get an attorney
[ 2] If you want counter sue for over-payments and emotional distress, court fees
[ 3] If you can swing it, defamation of character.

[ chuckles ]

I hope it helps.

Inconsistant and at times fraudulent state to state transfers of support payment records, are a huge national problem, with bad thing happening on both sides of the issue. But you are a male, and unfortunately, in many judges oppinions,
(which will stick, and has nothing to do with the laws on the books)
you are guilty until without a doubt proven innocent. You need a lawer, and to sue her civilly, for legal expenses to be taken out of the payments, due to her fraudulent activities. Then red flag her in every state in the nation, as some leap around and do this game for a living.

I don't envy you. You may never see your kids again. Many women who play this game, use children as a trump card. Watch the movie Liar Liar. Good luck, and don't get anybody else pregnant!

Because you are in breach. That's like saying "yes, I held up the 7/11 but I didn't get $2,000 I only got $1,000!"

You are $4,000 behind in your payments, so no one really wants to help.

I presume every payment you made you kept the cancelled check or paid via the county clerk or both.

If she has sworn in court or on court papers that she has never been paid, she could be charged with perjury but that's unlikely.

The decree (I am assuming you are talking about visitation) is separate from support. Even if you never see your child, you have to pay the bill. You pursue the other issues separately.

Some people still have more sympathy for the mom than they do for the dad. Have Missouri send the documents to Oklahoma. IF that doesn't work, get an attorney. If she keeps this up, report her to the police.

Who did she tell? The welfare office in order to get welfare? This happens a lot. Is it wrong? Yes. Is it a crime? If she lied on a form, then Yes. Will she go to jail for it? probably no because our justice system sucks sometimes, and even if she did, they will find a way to help this poor, little, innocent girl from you, the armpit of humanity, if you know what I mean.

Have your Missouri case worker forward all documentation to the Oklahoma case worker.

You must see a lawyer, they can answer your question. Laws like that can vary from state to state.
