I know this question is a little bit over the top, but in some weird way it could make sense.

Non-believers fully know that this life is all they have, therefor their main purpose is to make this current life, this world a better place to live on.

The main purpose of life for a believer is to win a place in Heaven. They live for the after-life.

Everybody has a right to believe all they want, but wouldn't it be more fair to let this planet run by the people who really care for only this planet. Then the believers can have the full right to decide on whatever will happen in heaven.

Fair, and everybody will be finally happy, right?

If you wanna leave me an angry answer, by all means be my guest. I'm fully aware of the absurdity of this question, but i wanted to see your imput on an absurd idea.

Very interesting point. Maybe a bit extreme, but I at least wish that religious people would quit trying to politicize their religion make their religious beliefs law.

The truth is that many people who don't believe in God hate the world. Look at all the leaders of Communist Countries- they are crazy! If the nonbelievers were the only ones to vote, that means that the world would be a much worse place. They would elect officials who were only capable of inflicting hate.
How could you care for this planet? It's full of hate and sin. Look around you at what happens in other countries. They don't care about the world nor do they believe in God. With all these events starting to come in place as the Bible suggested, how can you seriously answer against the Bible even though it has written the truth. (Not that you answered against it)

Believers (at least the people I know) do not only live for the afterlife. Although we are not saved by "works alone", we are specifically given the task to feed the hungry, visit those in prison, etc. I believe that in order to fufill the teachings of Jesus in this area, we must vote for leadership that will give rights/support to the most disenfrachised in our society.

There are those who quote the Bible and say there will always be wars and so on, but that does not release us from our duty to promote peace and demonstrate God's love to ALL.

That I have to disagree with as I as a Christian care about this life and earth as well. Therefore I vote. Jesus told us that "The Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand." and by the way I do believe we will be held accountable to God for how we treat or mistreat the planet He has given us.

Peace to you,
Debra

well, you are right about one thing...it is an absurd idea...what if we tried letting only believers vote, since we are taught to love our neighbors as ourselves, and would therefore be more inclined to have the best interests of others in mind as opposed to the materialistic 'grab all i can right now' mindset of those who think that this is all there is...now, doesn't that sound silly as well? regardless of where we think or know we are going (or not) after this life is over, we're all on this blue ball together and we need to find more ways to keep the peace and do as much good as we can...

As a people God left us in dominion of the planet Earth. With that comes the responsibility to take care of it. So no, we shouldn't. Besides, what about the lives of our children and grandchildren?

By the way, we don't try to win anything. For the record we merely accept a free gift.

Well the job of the believers is to help the others believe. And no believers should have the right to vote other wise the world will go to hell, without people with morals to bring balance

The fuzzy kind of marshmallowy apostles snivel stuff like “well, I think there’s a little bit of God in each of us,” or “we all really worship the same God, don’t we?”

So enamored with themselves..."I'm so darn good".

Pathetic

I think it would be much more fair a vote, if the christians weren't allowed to vote. :P NOR allowed to COUNT the votes either.....let someone totally neutral count them.

God seems to care how we live while we're here.
