However, just to let you know: prior to XP's release, Microsoft intended on adding an updated version of MS Paint to accompany the launch of their (then) new OS, packing it with new features such as layers with opacity/transparency control, advanced text formatting options, 3d rotate/zoom, blurring, gradients, etc. but the scheduling was off. From the ashes of that effort came PaintDot Net, which is available here:

Xp comes with paint. Why download it?

Why would you need to download MS PAINT. It comes standard on any WINDOWS BASED OS.

Go To Start > Run > type in either "Paint" or "MSPAINT".

if you still have your windows intsaller cd check it to see if you can install it. if not search microsoft.com.
