This is in no way intended to be racist or mean. I just want to know how African American people feel about mayonaise.
My sister is married to a black guy and I said that I hated mayonaise. He said so do black people. Unless it's in coleslaw. Now I am obviously smart enough to know that not all black people hate it. I was just curious to see what yahoo answerers thought.

okay this is so funny i've heard the same thing before and im black.I'm glad you're smart enough to know that all black people dont hate mayonaise cause thats the only kinda of sandwich spread i eat but my husband he hates mayonaise

I hate it too!!! I mean, the way they blend all the ingredients together to make that thick, creamy white substance. It's evil I tell ya!!! Evillllllllllllll!!!!! I'm joking. Urban myth. Mayo is good on ham sammiches, coleslaw and all kinds of good stuff. Don't believe the hype.

I hated it myself until I had the homemade kind when I went to Europe. It's entirely different from the stuff we have here in the jar that sits unrefrigerated on a shelf.

I'm black and I have never heard of anything like that. But , I will admit after reading that, I kind of wanted to agree or say yes JUST TO BE A LIKE WITH MY CULTURE. You see, many shift, JUST to be alike. One would easily lie about something peculiar JUST to fit in. Actually you answered your own question in your details. "Not all black people." My man once told me the same thing, I don't know who started that rumor.
Anyway, I'm not against mayonnaise hon. Not all black people are so pro black that they won't touch anything white :)

That's also like saying all black people eat chicken or watermelon. It's a stereotype, and many people make statements about their entire race to cover something or as a joke. Like me, I'm white and hung like a mosquito.

I don't know what he's talking about but I don't hate mayonnaise. I prefer miracle whip. I didn't know we hated it. I guess I never thought about it.
