that probably none of their friends wanted to see that movie that day.. or they just felt like seeing it alone.. it's a movie.. it's not like you were going to talk to anyone in there anyway right? I'm not sure why i even always go with people.. i guess to talk about it after.. but seriously.. i could just go see them after we've both seen it.
