Basically as we get older our metabolism slows down. You have not changed your eating habits but you aren't as active as you use to be!!!! (I'm talking like I know you) But excersise helps.... walking, running up and down the steps...anything that gets that heart beating !!!! Drink plenty of water before you eat meals... it gives you the sensation of fullness, thus causing the stomach to shrink because you will not be able to consume a bunch of food...

Best thing to do is to keep excersising. Or possibly start, there are many places that have great deals to get a membership to workout. Cut down on maybe the intake of food, but do not starve yourself. 3 meals a day and maybe 2 or 3 healthy snacks should help with that as well.

I went to the doctor today and found out I gained 8 LBS. How depressing is that. If anyone has any ideas. other than starving. I would like it too.

4 lbs. isnt that bad unless youre overweight. if you do wanna get rid of that, try reducing 500 calories off your diet. you should be able to lose those pounds that way in about a week. dont forget to add exercise to that ^_^

Keep a journal of everything you eat. You'll be shocked at how much junk you may be eating. Also, start walking. Nothing drastic, but it'll help.

Cut back on anything with yeast in it. Breads, pastas, everything. If you cut all yeast out you'll lose the weight. :-) Hope this helps!
