I heard once (while in school for electronics) that it would take all the super computers in the world a whole year to do all the storing and thinking and processing that the human brain does in a day. I thought it sounded cool... so I can imagine that the brain has an almost limitless amount of storage capicity... it just degrades over time so that you can't remember as well.

Its a shame Microsoft hasn't found a defragmenter for our brains.

It depends on how much you pay attention to your surroundings and how much you take in. The human brain actually trains itself to ignore most of what goes on around it in order to concentrate on the activities it prioritizes the highest. Your brain can absorb more information in the first three years of its development than it will in the rest of your lifetime. It is possible for the human brain to remember every sight, sound, sensation and thought it ever had since it's inception. Most of the folks on here are correct that the human brain can probably store more information than all of the computers on earth, but it is unable to process those thoughts as quickly as the fastest Cray Supercomputer in use by industry today. And like computers, the more information is stored, used, stored, used and stored again, the more information is jumbled and lost. Cool huh...

How much do you want it to have? You can train your brain to do many things, you can take care of it and it can learn just about everything. There is not set amount, some people's brains are better than others at some tasks like memorizing while others are better at coordination.

I believe that the capabilieties to remember things and memorize things of the human mind are endless. The only thing is we cant do many things fast ebough or at once. Compared to a computer, we can remember almost everything but we cant do them as fast as a computer can.
