Why does Israel always kill so many innocent civilians to kill the few terrorists?

Look, I never said who started or not. I'm married to an American Jew so I know the situation. Why are children and women being killed...(do they really deserve to die?). I know this is emotional for alot of people but do you guys actually believe it is o.k. to kill innocent children and women?

Are you referring to the bombing in Lebanon? Unfortunately, that's how wars are fought. I don't like it either but in this case, Lebanon did start it. Maybe they should have thought twice before crossing into Israel....

Both sides kill a bunch of innocent people. Maybe if their leaders (much like our leaders) would stop dehumanizing other people they would be a little more hesitant to kill. Terms like arab, terrorist, patriot, capitalist all encourage people to look at the other side as something less or more than human (and those are just the civilized words we use). The problem is that every action produces equal and opposite reaction.

Isreal takes land, Hamas fires missles, Isreal takes prisoners, Hamas suicide bombs the market, Isreal rolls tanks through Gaza..... ect. ect.

Maybe if we had leaders that were of higher moral quality than we lowly peons, rather than the leaders we have which promote their countries as better than everyone, they might be willing to turn the other cheek once in a while. Just look at the US. We preach how great we are then fight wars of aggression so Cheney, Bush, and company can line their pockets.

It's really sad most of the people being hurt are innocent by standers on both side of the war. I have a friend from Lebanon, who happens to be Christian. Her family are all trying to get to Syria because of the bombings. Most people in Lebanon just want to live their lives and they really can't do too much about Hizbollah because the Lebanese government is too divided and weak. 30% of Lebanon's populaton is Christian, the largest in the middle east. They are being marginalized by the Islamist extremists who happens to have a lot of power in the government. Israeli bombs can't tell if you are a 3 year old kid, 89 year old women, Chrstian, Muslim or an Alien. The real question is, "Are the Lebanese people (Civilians) responsible for Hizbollah's actions?"

Hezbollah fired more than 100 rockets into northern Israeli towns, killing a middle-age man and a woman and wounding more than 35 civilians. Hezbollah said it was using a new missile that appeared to be more advanced than previous models.

Tell both sides of the story. Israel is only hitting airports and military targets.

Its the way they fight, shoot first and blow up anythign that moves. Disgraceful way to conduct a campaign, the UN should sanction them for what they're doing.

Israel doesn't kill innocent civilians. The civilians merely get in the wrong place at the wrong time. Its not Israels responsibility to keep them safe. If there governments were so concerned with their safety they would engage in terrorism, provoking Israel to action.

Israel has dropped leaflets today telling the Lebanese to stay away from Hezbollah people and places, as well as any military installations. Israel is defending herself from acts of war on two fronts, with Iran directing.

Innocents die in war. Muslims brought Israeli bombs on their own head in Lebanon. Dont complain now that it isn't nice.

You can reverse that question and ask why does the Hamas kill so many innocent people and so few terrorists. The Israeli's don't use suicide bombers in market places, where as the Hamas and Palestinians do.
