Many ppl will realize what time was before Jesus was crucified right?
According to OT any female that commit adultery had to be stoned to death.
Now, Joseph is not the father of Jesus as we know. Mary got pregnant by being virgin.
Did Mary hide the fact she was impregnated by GOD and not by Joseph? And Joseph went alone with the same story?
So Joseph was convinced that Mary did not commit adultery and got miraculously pregnant by GOD? Before Answer this, just imagines the village of primitive ppl of that time who follows GOD law and conceder’s female is a property. Is it possible that other ppl besides Mary new that Jesus was GOD him self?

sorry , I was rescued long time ago by believing that Jesus wasn't God nor the son of God, so I don't care about all this argument.

--Is Catholic--

Oh come on that is easy!

Early tradition holds that Joseph was a widower and an older man and Mary was a consecrated virgin. Their marriage was never intended to be consummated.

So know that this tradition is not just from Catholics but that the Orthodox agree as well. From the Orthodox Church in America's website

Saint Joseph the Betrothed was of the lineage of King David. In his first marriage, he had four sons and two daughters. After he became a widower, St Joseph led a life of strict temperance. He was chosen to be the husband and guardian of the Most Holy Theotokos, who had taken a vow of virginity.

The idea of Joseph being a younger man is a later development by Jean Gerson and St. Bernardine (both 15th century) and is without historical or traditional backing. There is absolutely not a shred of scriptural proof as to the age of Joseph and whether or not he was a widower. The only beliefs about Joseph are extra biblical, and these place Joseph as an older man and a widower. St. Joseph, in early artwork is depicted as an older man.

Mary did not hide the fact that her child was conceived by the Holy Spirit, as witnessed by her activates with Elizabeth, (John the Baptist's Mother), however she also did not go out of her way to proclaim this. Most people would have assumed that Joseph was the Father. Joseph knew he was not and thought of ending the marriage but he did not, knowing that Mary would be stoned. At this, God revealed to Joseph that Mary would give birth to the Messiah.

Yes it is highly possible that other people knew that Jesus was God. In fact, it is certain. We know that the Simon and Anna (Luke 2:24-38) recognized Jesus as God without them having been told by humans. There are other individuals in scripture that recognize Christ, either by being told by humans (including Jesus) or by the movement of the Holy Spirit. I invite you to read scripture to learn who these people where and how the recognized the Messiah.

Jesus Christ is not God. he is His son.

Jesus was conceived by Mary through the Holy Ghost (see Matt. 1). and if you read that chapter, you'll see that an angel of God told Joseph what to do, so he took Mary as wife and accepted the way God commanded him. as did Mary. and yes, it was a miracle.

We don't know, since the bible does not tell us.

Joseph was told in a dream not to worry about marrying Mary, to go ahead and take her as his wife, that she conceived "by the holy spirit". We can only guess at what happened after all that took place!

We do know that when Mary went to visist her cousin, Elizabeth, that as soon as Mary spoke, the baby Elizabeth was carrying "lept" in her womb. Elizabeth then referred to the baby Mary was carrying as "my Lord". Remarkable!

An angel of the Lord came to Jospeh and told him what was going to happen concerning the virgin conception...
They were "espoused" and moved away and Joseph did not "know" her until after Jesus was born.
