Squirt it with a water bottle and tell it "no" in a firm voice.

when he bites your ankle this is the best thing to do:

say the word NO very firmly clap you hands loudly and quickly distract his attention from your body with a toy mouse or a ball with a bell in it, one on a string will be more effective. works both on young and adult cats.

the best way to get him to stop: bring him a friend. if it's a kitten bring him one his own age within a week tops two they will be good friends.
if it's an adult you can bring either a four montes or over old kitten or an adult cat. either way you will have to separate them at first and introduce them to each other.

First of all DO NOT play with (him/her) using your feet .If you do stop, they think biting and clawing your ankles is a game. Try a spray from a squirt gun or a can of pennies to shake every tine they go after your feet. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Wear boots? No j/k ;oP You just need to wear kitty out. Give her/him lots of fun things to play with and direct her toward it when she does. She is saying " Play with me!" so redirect her playfulness to something besides your ankles. They make all kinds of cool cat toys. I have a cat tunnel, cat tree that i hang toys from and they are not ankle biters at all :)

My cat does that too. If I provoke her, she usually bites my ankles or grabs onto my leg as walk away. She/He is just showing you who is the "boss".

If your cat walks past you and just bites you for no reason. He or she is just trying to play with you. but if it starts to hurt just tell him or her no and give him or her a little tap on the butt. Just to get his attention. I hope this helps.

hahaa! My older cat used to attempt this. he doesn't anymore tho... he's about 2 years previous now. yet each and every so often, my 9 month previous kitten will attempt it and that i need to do is shout NO and chase him in the course of the living house like i am going to attack him decrease back and he runs for expensive existence, hehe. If he can't get me, he will conceal behind a door and look forward to my older cat to stroll by technique of, and he attacks him instead. it is authentic... it is truly a sport to them. it truly is how they play with one yet another, yet to them it doesn't quite damage... they do no longer understand it hurts us :P

My 2 year old still does it to me too. A good spray bottle of water can help ward her off, but I let mine play.
