There is no description of Jesus in the 4 gospels. So, what is the basis of depicting Jesus like a person with long wavy hair, medium short beard and so on????

There is a description of Jesus in the Bible but I don't know where it is. Assuming you have done your homework, it must not be in the 4 gospels. The discription does describe him that way.

Another point is that is the way most men in that area and time frame kept their hair and beard such as you described.

There is none. There is no description of Jesus because God wanted us to focus on what he said and did, not what he looked like. Was he some white skinned long haired skinny fellow in a long flowing robe? Probably not. Especially as he came from the east and there where no white skinned people there at that time.

and honestly... Jesus doesnt care what you look like either...He cares alot about what you are like on the inside... and if your a mess, dont give up... He;s in the business of making bad men good

we know he had a beard... it was plucked out as the Romans beat him

but you have a point we do not have much of a physical description, perhaps becuase it was not his physical description that was inportant it was his sinless, loving, character.

in His own words:
come unto Me all you who are weary and tires and I will give you rest, I am genlte and humble of heart

but my guess is, dark hair and olive skinned, long nose... but its a guess... perhaps not describing his superficial looks makes him more acceptable to people of all looks...

There are other historical documents which do describe Him.. like the missive of Pontius Pilat in his report to the roman capital. Was very descriptive. Evento the coloration of the skin..

Too many people are unwilling to delve into the historical facts, yet feel qualified to make derogatory statements, which they are unable to support.

Tradition, reinforced by centuries of portraying him like that. Once my wife, visiting a lady, saw a picture of Jesus in her living room, saw that he looked like a blue-eyed European, and asked, "What color do you think Jesus' eyes really were?" The lady said, "Blue." My wife asked, "What do you base that on?" The lady pointed to the wall, and said, "Just look at his picture."

Depict him anyway you'd like. I have seen paintings of Jesus with red hair. I have seen paintings of him as a beardless youth.
