Viking Heaven.
Valhalla, Hall of the Slain, in Norse mythology is the hall presided over by Odin. This vast hall has five hundred and forty doors. The rafters are spears, the hall is roofed with shields and breast-plates litter the benches. A wolf guards the western door and an eagle hovers over it. It is here that the Valkyries, Odin's messengers and spirits of war, bring half of the heroes that died on the battle fields (the rest go to Freya's hall Folkvang). These heroes, the Einherjar, are prepared in Valhalla for the oncoming battle of Ragnarok. When the battle commences, eight hundred warriors will march shoulder to shoulder out of each door.

It's part of norse mythology. When dying in battle, the great warriors (the chosen ones) were driven by the Valkyries to a big hall in the god's realm, known as Valhalla. Those warriors were supposed to help the gods in the Ragnarok (Odin's side), they'd battle every day among them (for mere fun) and have feasts every night, until Ragnarok comes. Viking warriors aspired to reach Valhalla, that was the greatest honour for them.
Those not taken to Valhalla were taken to the underworld or some of the other realms in the nordic mythology. It's a very interesting mythology.

Valhalla [val-hal-ah] - ("Hall of the Slain") Valhalla is one of Odin's halls in Asgard, where those who have fallen in battle, the Einherjar, go after death. (The other great hall is Vingolf.) It has five hundred and forty doors. Behind each door is a room for 800 warriors. The hall is roofed rafters of huge shining spear shafts and tiles of golden shields. Here the warriors gather to prepare for the final battle and the end of the world, Ragnarok. Each day the Odin's cook boils the flesh of a boar in a great kettle The boar's flesh suffices for all the warriors. The boar is resurrected each evening to be cooked again the next morning. The warriors spend their days fighting and killing each other, to be revived at night for feasting and drinking four different kinds of mead and ale.

It's Odin's "Hall of the Slain" where warriors go for their afterlife; It, Valhalla; supposedly is built in a huge area where there are 540 rooms that, when each door is open, is as wide as 800 men across from frame to door frame; it obviously is big enough to hold everyone; cool story; they should make a movie....my idea 1st, I get credit and some $$$; Thank you very much!
