More importantly, why are they asking that in the grade schooler section of parenting? I truly hope its not gradeschoolers worrying about being pregnant.a But anyway, to answer your question: I believe it is because they are ignorant and/or misinformed. Look at some of the answers given to the questions as well. This site is overloaded with misinformed people. And unfortunately, it is their advice the others are taking. According to some answerers you cant go swimming in the ocean while on your period because sharks will attack you, you can get pregnant by masterbating, and 12-14 is an appropriate age to lose your virginity. Oh don't forget, if you use a tampon your'e not a virgin, and that at 5'7 you should only weigh 110lbs. My biggest fear is that my own daughters will come here and see some of this crap. Thankfully, they can't read yet and hopefully, we will still have an open relationship when they are worried about these things.

Reason why everyone thinks there pregnant... easy!!! NO one is using protection. Most cases if you use it or even more then 1 kind of protection... you will not get pregnant or worse an STD.
Why come here??? No one knows you there for you can not be judged by those that count.
I am an only kid. I could never come to my family or even most of my friends to tell them deep dark secrets. But you need to tell someone & even talk to someone who could help you see things you wouldn't have seen in the first place.

The sad thing is that most young women do not have wonderful relationships with their parents. Parents haven't talked to them to make sure they understood the dangers of dating. Many children are not monitored closely enough. They didn't go into the sexual relationship in a mature fashion by making sure they and their partners were protected. Now the girls are worried because they are facing the facts that their lives could greatly be altered. (Teenagers by and large are very egocentric) The girls aren't ready.

well for one millions of people get pregnant each week and two not all pregnancy tests work. I took three and they all came out negative. I ma due to have my first any day so you really need to be more open minded. oh and some are scared lilgirls who are too young to be pregnant that probably are and have no where to turn.

Because every little girl on this site is already screwing boys. That's why there are 14 yr olds knocked up and having kids that their parents take care of and that's why they are all worried about being pregnant.

It seems to me that if you're not old enough or mature enough to understand HOW to get pregnant, you shouldn't be attempting it (or practicing). And if you are sexually active, you should be smart enough to know how to read a pregnancy test. And, if you think you're pregnant, why would you ask people on here instead of asking your family?

I have seen the same question as well and I think the answer is FEAR. Most women, even those who are married, may want to get pregnant but are afriad to find out when they think they are. Coming here for adivce is, or maybe, comforting to them.

its the dumb pregnancy topics that made us RIers invade this board with pointless troll topics a while ago.
im only still here because i mentioned the short loved invasion on gamfaqs which if i had reread the TOS i would have known that is cause for outomatic ban for mentioning it.
luckily its only a 30 day ban.

Paranoia and not getting proper knowledge are probably what I'd blame it on. That, and they are probably not ready for the responsibility of becoming sexual so they don't trust their form of contraception.
I'm sure some girls do it for attention too, sad as that may be.
