As per the genealogy of Jesus Christ given in the Bible, from Jesus through Abraham (pbuh) to the first man on earth i.e. Adam (pbuh), Adam appeared on the earth approximately 5800 years ago:

1948 years between Adam (pbuh) and Abraham (pbuh)
Approximately 1800 years between Abraham (pbuh) and Jesus (pbuh) 2000 years from Jesus (pbuh) till today
These figures are further confused by the fact that the Jewish calendar is currently on or about 5800 years old.

There is sufficient evidence from archaeological and anthropological sources to suggest that the first human being on earth was present tens of thousands of years ago and not merely 5,800 years ago as is suggested by the Bible.

The Qur’an too speaks about Adam (pbuh) as the first man on earth but it does not suggest any date or period of his life on earth, unlike the Bible - what the Bible says in this regard is totally incompatible with science.
Remember
There is no god but Allah , Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is messenger of Allah

The Archeology of The Middle East

The religion of Islam has as its focus of worship a deity by the name of "Allah." The Muslims claim that Allah in pre-Islamic times was the biblical God of the Patriarchs, prophets, and apostles. The issue is thus one of continuity. Was "Allah" the biblical God or a pagan god in Arabia during pre-Islamic times? The Muslim's claim of continuity is essential to their attempt to convert Jews and Christians for if "Allah" is part of the flow of divine revelation in Scripture, then it is the next step in biblical religion. Thus we should all become Muslims. But, on the other hand, if Allah was a pre-Islamic pagan deity, then its core claim is refuted. Religious claims often fall before the results of hard sciences such as archeology. We can endlessly speculate about the past or go and dig it up and see what the evidence reveals. This is the only way to find out the truth concerning the origins of Allah. As we shall see, the hard evidence demonstrates that the god Allah was a pagan deity. In fact, he was the Moon-god who was married to the sun goddess and the stars were his daughters.

Some people say that there is sufficient evidence that people were around millions of years ago. I'm not interested in splitting over a few thousand years at this time.

If you accept the concept of a global flood, you would also have to accept that before that flood the world would have been very, very different. The processes that we use for dating the ages of civilization and of fossils would have become grossly inaccurate due to the potential changes that a global flood would provide.

Carbon dating easily proves that humans (homo-sapiens) and their ancestors have been on earth close to 1 million years (home-sapiens having been around about 40,000 years).

As for proving evolution, that's easy too. Just look at the change in average height between Europeans today and those living in the 15th century. There's plenty of documented evidence, including the height of ceilings and doorways, to show that people now stand 3-4 inches taller now (on average) than they did back then. While today a European male is about 5' 10" (average) back then they were 5' 6" (average).

I said it before and I'll say is again: Please don't take things out of context just to try to prove your point. You are not asking a sincere question- you want to prove a point. My point is, the devil is a deciever and has used religion (ALL religion) to distract people from what is really important- having a personal relationship with God. And anyways, you are going by hearsay and not getting all of the facts. I suggest you go to a christian apologetics site like www.comereason.org and ask SCHOLARLY individuals questions about the Bible instead of trying to confuse people with your partial truths. God is NOT a God of confusion, and I hopw you find your way! : )

It is not wise to hang your religion from the coathook of science. What happens when scientific viewpoints change?
