I had two children naturally and it was a wonderful experience. Try to find someone in your area that teaches the Bradley method of child birth. You need to train and get your body ready ahead of time and understand all that you are going to go through. Fear of the process always makes it worse than what it really is. My first baby I was only in labor for eight hours and my second I was only in labor for four. However like I said I trained pretty much the whole time I was pregnant. Cant say enough about the Bradley method. Good luck and don't be afraid, first of all there will be drugs if you have to have them but secondly remember that we women have been doing this for a long long time. ;)
Also surround yourself with positive folks.......don't listen to the women who like to whine and go on and on about how horrible it was for them. Your birthing experience will be what you make of it. Enjoy this magical time in your life.
Much peace

Well I have had two child renn. The first I went through 12 hours of labor and then I ended up have a C-section. I was really scared before I went into labor and yes it does hurt. But it is not the same as getting hit on the foot or something. The pain does not seem like that big of a deal when you have a goal you are looking forward to. My second was done c-section right off and that was wonderful. I went in and my baby was born about 6 mins later. It took them about 20 mins to sew me up and I was done. The recovery is not so bad and you are awake the whole time. My second was alot better then my first.

It does hurt terribly sure..unless you get an epidural, well i heard it helps tremendously..i had both of my girls natural, no pain stuff and the labors were long.. its a pain you will always remember but when you are ready to have the next one we seem to ferget the pain also lol cuz youd think we wouldnt go thru it again after that but once you hold them and see them for the first time, its all worth it.

Try not to see it that way. It is a positive experience.
Yes, it is very difficult. Take the breathing and relaxation
classes. Fighting the pain makes it worse (fear/tension/pain syndrome). I had 2 by natural childbirth and it wasn't the worst
thing in my life. I think the broken leg hurt a lot more. I think the migraine hurt more. And other things have hurt more.
It's a natural part of life.

I agree with Tero 110%! I used Bradley method too. It really works. I have had 4 kids with no pain medication. I have had hunger pains before that were worse. See if you can find the book, Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way.

everyone has a different experince when it comes to giving birth, but one thing is the same it HURTS, but i had both of my children by c-section it was very painful but the best thing about having a baby is you forget.A year After you give birth you forget all the pain the next thing you know you're looking at pregnant women and you're going ohh I wish I was pregnant too...That's how I had my second one....

my fiance is pregnant and going to have our baby on the 7th of august....she is really worried that it will be the most painful thing in the world...i try to calm her down by telling her it will tickle..lol...it doesnt work.
anyway, if you get an epidural, you will feel pressure (so ive heard...) and if you dont, it will be the most painful thing in the world...but remember...*its the worst pain in the world, but its the easiest to forget :) *
if you are pregnant, tons of good luck to you...i know it will be tough...just try to get through it..and remember...it will be totally worth it... ask anybody who has a baby...all of the screaming will be forgotten the first time you see them sleeping.
Babies are the most precious thing in the world... think about him\her instead of the pain of delivery.
