"Do you think we should do nothing about this illegal immigration problem?". I have to point out a few key points that no one seems to recognize about illegal immigration...

“The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty first, the ‘love of soft living’ and the get-rich-quick-theory of life”---Teddy Roosevelt

"Love of soft living" - with the use of illegal immigrants for cheap part time labor, the middle to upper class Americans and the thinking involved is "it's good for me and it employs needy people as well". This creates a dillusion of Master-servant and is self-destructive at the same time. Remember "All power corrupts".

Judging from what is known throughout history, it is only a matter of time before the servants get tired of thier roles. With that we can logically deduct that eventually the servant will try and overthrow the master. Unfortunately, this is the role of the illegal to... Continued below.

to the middle/upper class American

Watching the March, April and May immigrant marches, it wasn't too hard to see the heavy resentment, the entitlement and loud accusations of fat lazy Americans, you need us to care for you, proof that the master-servant, nearly symbiotic relationship is a daily occurrence and not a healthy one either.

In answer to your original question: it's a matter of realizing the long term consequences of unbridled migration. Eventually things will come to an uproar as they already are in the streets with protests and such. Give it time, if we do nothing we will eventually be heading towards a "Civil War II". Sounds crazy right now, but when a little thought is put into it, I think most can recognize the possibility.

ummm, superdaringhero...

There was a Civil war in the 60's over civil rights of blacks in America (at least that was one of the major causes) However, it was in the 1860's. remember that????

"Great so you think all discrimination was ended and all blacks had equal civil rights after the civil war? And you didn't address the question I posed........the nation was divided on the issue....races were divided on the issue.......why no civil war? (during the civil rights movement) "

Never said anything about all discrimination being ended. My only argument here is that if we allow ENOUGH immigrants into the country, they will form a major subculture with quite a bit of pursuasive power.

P.S. when debating, never "name call" it only makes you look like you're on the defensive.

I love a good debate...

A "civil" war? NO
I do not think that Americans will go to war, one with another trying to end the divide over illegal interlopers!

The Civil War was about many things and one amoung them was property (slaves). This cannot be an equivalent issue.
Taxes and welfare would be bigger causes for a civil war and they are not going to be a cause either.
If we do have a civil confrontation it would be more likely to come because of the Government's usurping the citizens constitutional rights.

I don't think so. The servant and laborer class does not have enough money or power to fund an offensive against the middle and upper classes. Rebellions like what you described only happen when the poor make up a massive majority of the population, and the rich are at maybe 2% of the population. Slaves in the South never staged a large rebellion, even though in many areas there were far more slaves than plantation owners.

Doesn't sound crazy to me at all.

First, when King George IV of America gets our soverienty extinguished, that will end the contract of our constitution between the people and the government. Only a constitutional amendment would would save that from happening.

When that happens there will be no law. Do you see the photo's from the terrorists in the Middle East? Americans yearn for freedom from any tyrant. That would be the future of Americans trying to fight to get their country back from the Bush's of the world.

The only thing holding this government together by suspending our soveriegnty and our constitution as would be for the American military to keep it's citizens from rising.

There was once a King George who tried to capitulate our country. Now we have another one. And history will repeat itself because the American people will never stand for the military turning on ourselves to protect the royalty that will be in place by courts above the supreme court and other bodies.

Globalization = war zone or be slaves to the New World Order. What side will you be on when you lose your freedoms and rights?

And for the person above: The civil rights movement was never about losing our soveregnty in 2010 to other foriegn powers or our rights as citizens. You cannot compare the two.

Based on your " logic " shouldn't we have had a civil war in the 50's and 60's over Blacks civil rights? so your little blurb " Judging from what is known throughout history...... " is very ignorant. Its ok you're probably only 14, but really go back and look at the civil rights movement and tell me it wasn't worse than this........and yet no civil war.........moron.

And yes its obvious you put " little thought " into this........

Great so you think all discrimination was ended and all blacks had equal civil rights after the civil war? And you didn't address the question I posed........the nation was divided on the issue....races were divided on the issue.......why no civil war? (during the civil rights movement)

Man what a dumb as*s, no body asked them to illegally come into our country, and if they don't like it they can leave, And if Americans needed the illegal alien, 89% wouldn't be against illegal immigration, When the Mexicans marched and waved their stupid Mexican flags, it woke up America to see that we are being over run by Mexico's poor and illiterate, they just cut their own throat's with their stupid march, that is why Americans of every race have been protesting by writing our political leaders to stop illegal immigration, haven't you been listening to the news, or no what is going on in congress. They are not slaves they can leave at any time, big difference.

I can soooo see a civil war over the illegal immigration. People in this country have gotten comfy, that will come back to bite us in the a**. I actually can't wait. We will win, and when we do, we will once again be a country of proud Americans. It is the right time (as far as I can tell from the history of our country) for another civil war. People, civil war means each of us fight, not our military alone, all of us. Prepare yourselves.

Illegal immigration? No immigration is something that is done legally. What we are dealing with here is a bunch of criminals who think they can illegally come into our country and break several laws while remaining here. They has NO respect for OUR laws, OUR people, or OUR country. They feel that they are above the law and can do anything they want to and don't care who they hurt in the process (think about the problems they cause someone by using the SS# or ID). They feel like we owe them for being criminals and want us to bend over backwards to give them what is suppose to be available for OUR citizens and those legally here. There are nothing but a bunch of criminals and have no place here. They are NOT wanted here. The DO NOT deserve to be here. Their criminal activities and flagrant disregard for the law clearly demonstrate that they are NOT worthy to be here. There is NO middle ground on this. They are breaking the law to be here and as such are criminals.

They create the "master servant" relationship by accepting the low wages, by illegally entering our country thus not being able to get a good job...where they would make good money, and therefore eliminating the "master servant" relationship. Your argument doesn't make sense, you're threatening that you will rebel, wow, that makes us so much more accepting towards people who brake into our country and take jobs from decent hard working non lazy Americans...which there are plenty of.

I think the whole thing is really bone-headed. Enforcement's been weak for YEARS on illegal immigration. Only now, only now people are seeing it as a problem. We've literally had 20 years to think about it since '86, and now there IS your big subculture.

Didya read about the Senate thing? They now want to pay 'temporary' workers more than americans. Where the hell ARE we going with all of this? Makes ya wonder....

Would not call a civil war, sence they are not Americans, the general U.S. public wants the illegals out, but for some reason , the government is not making them leave .. not sure why that is, ...the is always the theory of government taking bribes from corporation...but really .. would our civil leaders do that ?

PANCHA : If we do that then we would need to let all the convicts out of prison, just to make it fair.
