Good. Better yet start dating around 17, I promise you won't be missing ANYTHING. At your age you want to do whatever you want but your parents love you so much and they are just protecting you. Trust me you'll have much more fun when you reach the age of 17 and start dating cause dating at 12 is boring and uh, kind of too young.

obey your parents you will thank them one day.
besides if you were dating like katiepooh then you will grow up to be tramp, i mean come on who's ever parents lets their children date at the age of 10 is because they don't care of what there children are doing. you should be lucky that your parents care about you and care about your future, and also care of what you'll be when you grow up.
i mean come on by the time katiepooh is probably 18 she would have already slept with the whole town and some.
my point ..... don't let a little 10 year old girl or any girl for that matter get to your mind, you are better than that.
the moral is... parents know whats best for their children as they already went through what you wanna go through.

Good. u dont need to date, your only 12. u can go out with friends, but any romantic ideals for a 12 year old are wrong, and Dating leads to Romanticism...

My daughter and I had a conflict with that same rule.
We came to an agreement. She can go on a date if I go too. Which means sitting right behind her and her date at the movie theater. My daughter actually liked it, because a guy had to really like her to ask her out. And I will tell you, I went on hundreds of dates with her. Also, if she made honor roll, I would take her and any friend she wished to bring out to dinner. The rule was she was not allowed to go out with a boy without a chaperon. Usually me or her dad.
For her sixteenth birthday, She went out on a very special date, with her boyfriend. It was special in many ways for her and her boyfriend went out to great lengths to make it special too. He appreciated that he had the honor of being her first date.
My daughter is now 18 and she thanks me for all the time I spent with her. She said I made her teen years wonderful.
So, whadda ya think?

Well...what exactly is dating for a 12 year old? You can't drive anywhere with an adult of somekind...you don't have a job so its probably your parents or saved up money anyways.

Good ... I would listen .. parents are usually a lot smarter then you.
My dad didn't let me date guys or even ride in their cars until I was 16 either.
I'm glad he did. The only thing you're missing out on is getting your feelings hurt, getting pregnant, STD's, jealousy ... the list can go on and on .... !

What's the difference between dating and meeting someone to discuss school work or going together to any kind of event?
What your parents don't know, will not worry them, that's the way it is.
