No, I wouldn't, and it's almost idiotic to pay that much money to play in that tournament. Your odds this year of winning are roughly 10,000:1, which are horrible odds when it comes to poker. The only reason I enjoy playing poker is because I stand a chance in hell of winning something, but the WSOP main event is a bad bet, to be sure.

Would rather spend that money at the high limit tables for cash games.

If I could enter another tournament, it would be one of the pot limit texas hold em events or an Omaha or 7 Card Stud tournament. The entry fields are still small enough for you to have a legitimate chance of winning.

Those guys with all those bracelets...keep in mind that they won the bulk of them back when there were only 100 or so people (at the most) playing in the tournament games. Still, they have their bracelets, so everyone thinks they're so wonderful.

No i wouldn't unless I was one of those celebritiy poker players.

Listen.. the people who are good don't even pay that fee. they win thier way through these things a satelites which are smaller tournaments in which the prize is an entry into the wsop. You can find satelite tournaments at any major casino/cardhouse or online on any major poker site like:
www.fulltiltpoker.net-this is the best
www.ultimatebet.com
www.partypoker.net
www.pokerstars.com

And basically any other website that you see on the shirt/hat of one of those those professional poker players on tv.

No, I would not pay $10K to buy in directly, but I would play if I won a satellite at a place like Party Poker. If you want more info about Party Poker, go to http://www.ranked-online-casinos.com/partypoker-poker-review.html New players get $25 free with their first purchase if they use bonus code 25BUCKS4U

The Pope does not gamble. . . although I would drop ten large on a fine honey down at the bar (that's a sure thing if ya know what I mean).
