I'm sorry, but I was a bit skeptical about The Ring giving their heavyweight belt to Vitali Klitschko for beating Sanders, and that's not the only one of thier decisions I've questioned. I like the idea of having various belts because it makes more fighters recognizable to the fans and adds a bit of personality and storyline to them. Sure you can give your support to whichever you want - in your case, to The Ring magazine - but I'll continue to enjoy all of their fights. :)

Mojo has the answer I was going to give, I think, us as fans need to recognise the true champ. The Ring has a system worked out that works for me just fine. The sanctioning bodys will never willingly share or close down shop, so screw them. Ring has nothing to gain except to clear out the garbage "champions". 13 divisions, x 4 titles = 54 world champions, then the MANY interim champions and the unfair strippings of titles is retarded, what if ANY other sport were like that... wouldn't be very popular.

I actual were an newbie boxer a boxing coach and a boxing fan from a baby till those multi belts got here in and Don King ran the money gadget. Ali defended his international call 5 circumstances in a unmarried 365 days, combating only the accurate boxers contained in the heavyweight branch. i'm fortunate to have lived by potential of the ALi - Frazier - Norton - Foreman era. Now I dont watch boxing because i will not make contributions to a fraud and that i will not make contributions to making a great number of hanger on nerds into wealthy human beings even as together they're or have ruined the interest. So, for me it truly is person-pleasant - followers ought to no longer area with their money, do no longer provide credence to the spongers and money spinners. Oh, I virtually forgot - loud music and fancy shorts do no longer make an truly good boxer and good person-pleasant discerning followers can see it a mile off. DONT WATCH - DONT area including you money - it truly is the only thanks to carry the slime on the accurate to account.

There should be one recognised board of control. But the alphabet boxing boards are there just for money. A bill with 5 fights all fighting for a world title or interim titles is good on paper but mainly crap watching.

I personally only follow the WBC , The Ring usually has very good rankings but they do sometimes make some awkward decisions on who they make champs. anyway it's the WBC for me ONLY!!
