OK, some people who do not read the Bible, pick a verse out of the air, and use it to attempt to strengthen their viewpoint of illegal immigration.

I am well versed in the Bible, and I can tell you that (a) you are violating God's word to support your agenda, and (b) Jesus specifically talks about mixing religion with politics.

Here's the bottom line - if it doesn't involve God or religion, then you should keep Him out of it.

As Jesus says, "Render what is God's to God and what is Caesar's to Caesar."

If you put God into the mix, YOU, not us, will incur His wrath!

What's your opinion?

I read the whole book -and had it read to me since a baby. Too many just pick a Scripture here and there for their cause--it usually is wrong (they don't know whole book)
God does not support this. He made boundaries for his own people for their protection. Foreigners who came where to follow the Law or be cast out.
Boundaries were used for protection of the people. He understood this need. I don't think this was wrong.
I don't think he wants us to use him an agendas either way. But his principles we may use.

Yep your right. In the Bible immigration was rare, it could be done but you had to follow the process and adapt to the new culture.

Cool I put up a question today too about mix politics and religion.

Oh and you are supposed to obey the laws of the land.

my opinion is that you are an idiot.... and the fact that talk about how "well" versed you are in the bible proves how much of a christian you are not!!!!

forget about the politics of immigration..... how about love and compassion toward fellow humans who risk their damn lives everyday for a better way of living... this is what Jesus not only preached but lived!!!!!

the only one that will incur His wrath are people like you who use His word to judge others!!!!!

I could care less about the Bible. I know that illegal immigration is not right, though. Why? Because it is taking away from the citizens here.

but who uses the christian book of books ( and which one do they use,the Holy bible, the Roman Catholic bible, the King James version, the Living Bible, the New American ,the Authorized Version, etcetera etcetera etcetera) to justify their position on illegal immigration.

Please elaborate some more.

Amen to that. I don't believe in god, but that's my opinion. I won't tell you NOT to believe in god. What I don't like is people claiming to speak for god and tell us what he would or wouldn't want for things that have nothing to do with religion.
Well put.
