613 commandments were given to Moses for the Israel people to follow. The famed "10 commandments" came out of those 613. Non-Jews live by 7 commandments, also known as universal laws or the law of Noah. The tablets wound up in the ark of the covenant, which they are still looking for.

The Commandments given to Moses were the original 10 and 4 were written on the first tablet and 6 were written on the second tablet.
The first four represent how we can love and honor God. The last six represents how we can love our neighbors.
Too bad Moses didn't have a CD or Flash drive back in the day. If they were that far advanced, we'd probably be living in the "Star Wars" type universe.

News flash...there are only 10 original commandment. And, remember Moses could part the Red Sea, so surely he could lug around a couple hundred pounds of stone.

Languages now of days are more complex and specific. Back in time many cultures used symbols to represent actions, and or commandments. Remember; their lives were less complicated than ours. They didn't or have a need for the various things you and I take for granted such as: TV, Cellphones, Computers, Terrorist, Bombs, Airplanes, Buildings, etc.....
