I have a casio exilim ez-750 and I love it. My friend is an amateur photographer and he said that if you want a digital camera, you want that one, bar none. I love it. It's very easy to use, 7.2 megapixels (they have an 8.1 megapixel version out now) and 3x optical/10x digital zoom and it also has some good manual features as well. Its compact, has a huge 2.5" LCD screen (it basically takes up the entire back of the camera) and it takes unbelievable pictures. Make sure that if you do buy it you learn how to use all of its features to get the most of it. and it only costs aroud $319.

That's not true because I have a canon G2 and a Minolta G500 the Canon G2 was 700 $ and the Minolta G500 was only 150 and the Minolta does much nice pictures and colorful then the canon G2 ,so not always canon is best.
Maybe some models but not all.
So go for the Sony if you like it

I agree with emma. I have a G6 and an S50. Before I bought them, I went to a magazine shop, and looked at Consumer's Report. Both of my Canons were rated "Best Buy" in their category. It doesn't take much time nor cost very much to see what the experts recommend. My purchases were made over 3 years ago, and I'm sure recommended "Best Buys" are different now.

The cyber shots are pretty good. If the particular model you have in mind has anything wrong with it that you should know about, these reviews will tell you and suggest a better choice: http://www.steves-digicams.com/hardware_reviews.html
These are in-depth reviews, but you can skip straight to the conclusions.
