No... hell, the dinosaurs casued a massive build up of methane gasses thousands and thousands of years ago that precipitated a bout of global warming, followed by an ice age...
This stuff comes in cycles... One good Volcano blast, and you'll stop thinking about the polution caused by man.

It's not like matter is ever created or destroyed. The problem is that too much of it is being converted into an unnatural form. Fire is the biggest culprit, so we must stop burning everything :)
