Yes, you hypochodriach. It's harmless.
Were you annoying them? If so, serves you right.
PS. Red ant bites sting a lot. They won't hurt you.

You may have been either bitten or stung, or both
by an ant. Yes, the stings of some ants do hurt,
though the ones with the most potent stings seem
to be either tropical or Australian. In the northern
half of the United States few kinds can give much
of a sting, in the southern tier of states there are
a number which can. Many of the common ants
in northern part have no stings. Some of these
produce secretions which, if they rubbed them on
a place where they bit, might hurt. This is not
very common, though.

It shouldn't really hurt that bad. Really just itch, more so than hurt. Maybe you are allergic to the poison. Are you sure it was an ant (not a spider)? Keep an eye on the area and make sure that it doesn't get swollen. You may be allergic, or maybe it was not an ant. The bite should not look too much worse than a mosquito bite. Go see a doctor if it is worse than that.

firstly, how do you know it was an ant? did you see it? was it red or black , flying , wingless? Which?
It was probably a mosquito or animal flea or something in a carpet . Have you been in a park today?
Put some antiseptic cream on it , see if that soothes it. If not, get up the hospital as you may have an allergic reaction to whatever has had a nibble on you.

If it's still hurting, there's a possibility you were stung. Yes, it hurts like heck and that's normal. Yes, the pain will go away in a couple of days.

Depends on the ant. Some itch, some burn, some really hurt. Go see a doctor.
