It all depends on the company, their insurance company, ect....
I know my dad worked for a few companies and NOBODY was allowed in the truck but him. He has also worked for a company (JB Hunt I think) that allowed people 18 yrs old or older in the truck. He is now with a company that allows people over the age of 10 in the truck with him.
It sucks I know, but it's all up to the company and if the boss says no, it's definitely no. Of course you can always sneak her on the truck, but if ANYTHING happens, it's his *** on the line. plus your daughter would not be covered for any injuries she may get and you are also opening yourselves up to get sued by the trucking company & insurance company.
I would either go with a different company or deal with it.

You said that your daughter don't get out of the truck. Well things can happen in the truck also. She could get hurt in there, or god forbid your husband could have a wreck. If this was to happen and she was in there, then you would be in trouble. If the boss said no, she can't go I would not want to risk it by taking her. It is hard to be a trucker and be away from your family but its better to be safe than sorry.

well if the boss says the arnt covered on the insurance then that means they arnt old enough to be in the truck so if your husband wants to loose his job then dont listen and take the kids plus he has enough to worry about while driving a truck dont put little kids in in the truck with him + were is every body gonna sleep a truck isnt a 3 bedromm house ?

It would be better if they didn't. Your husband could lose his job if his boss found out, or your daughters could end up getting hurt. My dad drove a truck and I used to go on trips with him, but his company allowed things like that.

It depends, see if the driver is an independent driver meaning he owns his own rig, he could take whoever he wants, I used to work in security and would check trucks in and asked the guy about his wife and dog and stuff, He said only when he owns the truck and is making the "run" on behalf of someone else can he do that, but if the rig belongs to the hauling company only he is authorized to ride it

I would call the insurance co. myself...so you can find out the facts. Your husbands boss may be misinformed. Good luck!
My Brother-in -aw is a truck driver and he always takes his kids on trips..

Lot of agencies say no for coverage motives. yet Then others allow you to. also if his dad owns his own truck and has his own coverage he can do what he needs lengthy as he has a no rider coverage. I used to bypass with my father at streetlevel a lot. it really is how i began out using rigs.
