Yes, because I believe he was a prophet whose words were twisted by his 'followers' so if he were alive and walking the earth yes I would follow him, as I would for krishna and buddah. Great men all of them.

Hrm...I'd like to think I would, but honestly, I don't think so. I mean, think about it: here's a guy that says he's the son of God and if you follow him you will be saved. The people who have said that in recent times have all turned out to be wackos.

But on the other hand, Jesus didn't abuse little girls or have 30 wives. His message was one of love. Maybe. It certainly is a lot easier to look back on his teachings with the knowledge of history and believe.

Yes. Jesus taught tolerance. His teachings were great lessons for the world. Regardless of my issues with Christianity, Jesus was one of the greatest teachers of all time. His lessons were timeless and are great building blocks for a good society. (Christians have ruined his message by perverting it and twisting it to justify their personal prejudices). Jesus wasn't the way the Christian image is today. Christian fundamentalists have tainted an otherwise positive religion.

*Surprising that fundemental conservatives arose out of one of the most liberal and radical religions of it's time.

Its hard to forget the whole religious/spirituality aspect, otherwise you would just be following someone, and that could be anyone.
