Do you take the mom with you? I have a large litter, so I am pretty sure I will give first vaccines myself, then go at 6 weeks or older to get health certificate.

I won't sell them, or keep for myself even, without vet check.

Do they need tails docked? If so you will to take them to the vet with in 3 days of birth. You do not need to take mom to the vet to get pups vaccines. But it is best to have her health checked after birthing. There are some vet that are willing to make house calls and since you stated you have a large litter I believe you might want to check and see if there are any in your area. Pups need their vaccines at 6 weeks of age and if you have never given vaccines to a dog/pup before it is always better to let the pros handle this.

What age are you vaccinnating them? They shouldn't need any shots until they are at 6 weeks or so unless you plan on socializing the puppies with a dog park or something.

My dad tends to not take them to a vet until 6 months, but if you aren't an experienced breeder, take them in at the 3 month mark for their second set of 7-way shots.

I take mine in at 8 weeks for their first round of shots. They get shots at 8, 12, 16 weeks. IMO, and my Vets, 6 weeks is to early. I do not worm unless a fecal test shows I need to. Usually if one pup has worms they all do, so I take 2-3 random samples in, but my puppies do not usually need to be wormed.

take them in between 4 to 6 weeks, so they can get a head start on shots and vaccines. This also makes it easier to get them started on heartworm prevention medication.

Do my own worming, vaccinations, etc. Don't need the vet (OR the BILL!) unless/until time for health cert.;to be shipped to new owners.

Six weeks, unless there is a problem. And no, don't take mom unless she needs a check-up too.
