Yes, but because it's been explained above, I won't go into details about why it's bad. However, the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory store does offer special white chocolate dog biscuits that won't harm dogs at all. I believe they're sold in singles at $1 or $2 a piece. This is the only place I know of that has safe chocolate for dogs.

Yes, there is a substance in chocolate that has been known to cause death in large amounts...not to be confused with "candy chocolate" only real milk or dark chocolate is harmful with dark chocolate being even more so because it contins more of the harmful substance theobromine. here is a list of chocolates in descending order from the most theobromine content
Cocoa Beans
Cocoa Powder
Plain (Dark) Chocolate
Milk Chocolate
Drinking Chocolate (Powder)
White Chocolate
If your dog eats chocolate and exhibits any symptoms mentioned below take to a vet immediately......
Initially, the dog will develop abdominal pain and vomiting which may contain blood. The vomit in most cases will contain substantial amounts of chocolate, giving it a very characteristic smell. The dog may be restless, drooling saliva and could have difficulty standing or walking. Increased thirst is also common.
As the syndrome progresses, in the more severely affected dogs, there is an increased rate of breathing, muscle tremors, or rigidity. Urine may contain blood and the color of the gums may take on a bluish hue, (this is known as "cyanosis"). Eventually, the dog may develop convulsions and die.
In the majority of cases, the symptoms occur within a few hours, but it has been known to be delayed for as long as 24 hours. It can take as long as three days for the dog to recover completely.

Yes it can hurt them a lot you should never feed it to your dog unless you want it to become sick but that would be very mean. If you fed it chocolate then your dog will probably get a stomach ace and it would get heart problems in the future!!

Yes. Although it's not so bad that if a dog has one chocolate chip they need their stomach pump. Basically it acts as a blood thinner, so treat it like human ingestion of asprin. Keep them away from it, and if the dog eats the head off of a solid easter bunny, take them to the hospital to have their blood checked out and possibly have their stomach pumped.

Yes. It's toxic in moderate to high doses. If your dog eats a Hershey's kiss, she may be ok, but if she eats a bag, then she may die.
Just because one Hershey's Kiss MAY not do any harm, don't feed one to ANY dog - why take the chance??
