because the jewish christian God is very evil and cruel. satan according to the bible only did as ordered BY GOD so the evil that he did was ordered by God himself. Allah is another God i whould not care to worship. to worship such an evil God is not only cowardice but foolishness. as someone said if heaven is so great then why did Satan rebel? that he had a big ego not only does not cut it but it sounds like a false accusation.

There's a thing call free will...God can't make you do something...It is your choice. If you choose to follow God and live in peace and harmony among yourself and other people by following God's greatest commandment, LOVE, then that's great!

However, if you choose to follow the devil then horrible things like rape and murder and slavery will happen.

God doesn't condone these terrible things. As a matter of fact he HATES it! But, if people keep rebelling against God and his commandments, laws and purposes, then they will be punished by God.

The bible says that the JUST shall have their reward (from God) and the UNJUST will recieve their reward and will be paid back for what they've done. Obviously, they will be paid back in punishment, that is if they don't repent--stop doing bad things completely and/or cutting themselves off from doing evil things and following satan.

Hope this clarifies things for you...

The question is not new; it has been asked down the ages. God never condones evil but allows humans to use that attribute called freedom. It is the MISUSE of freedom that has led to the evils that you are talking of. God does punishes the perpetrators through the law enforcement agengies. Sometimes He takes a direct approach bypassing those agencies. To have personal practical experience of the above, you will have to be daring enough to believe in His Goodness. I am a living example of this goodness. For thought: Can you imagine a world without freedom?

I'm guessing this based on the Bible.... and here is my answer - God didn't write the Bible. Man wrote the Bible inspired by God. Men edited the Bible inspired by God. But just because God is inspiring you doesn't mean you're perfect and always know right from wrong. The men who wrote the Bible decided to condone slavery in their text because it was convenient for them and THEN they could justify it using their holy text! (Those jerks.)

The Bible also 'condones' burning witches, not having sex for 1-2 months after childbirth, marrying your dead brother's wife, having more than one wife. Do we actually accept these things? Well, no, most of us don't. That part of the book is the history of the Hebrew people. History is ugly.

Condone?

Slavery or employment? ...

Murder or killing? All murder is NOT the same.

Rape or loss of self control? All rape is NOT the same.

God cannot be responsible for man's bad choices.

Man walked away from Eden ... not toward it ... understand what that means in respect to it happened so long ago.

God doesn't condone murder, for one thing.

There are times when someone in the Bible kills someone else for some justifiable reason -- but that's not murder.

God doesn't condone rape either.

As for slavery, it's described in the Bible fairly often -- but remember that slavery wasn't quite the same thing in Biblical times as it was in, say, the US South prior to 1865.

In the Bible, "slave" is closer in meaning to "servant" or "worker."

He never condones rape.

As for what you may call murder, killing all the inhabitants of a village in a war by His order, ais what He calls divine justice.

As for slavery, that is punishment and to set an example for future generations.

God didn't condone it... the Chosen People of the Old Testament (aka Hebrew Bible) condoned it towards those in the land of Canaan who did not succomb to the wishes of their invaders.

I'll give you slavery, and maybe even murder (depending on how you define the term, I don't see it as murder but I can see where you might), but rape? I'd need a verse here.

God doesn't condone those things. He gave us a mind to make decisions with and unfortunatly not all people use it as He intended us too!
