If these are legitimate items on your report, you can try to dispute them and go through the "validation" process. But there is no guarantee it will work.
Go to http://www.zagrosbigvand.com/credit-repair.html
This site gives most of the information I have been telling people.
If it doesn't work, your only hope is to negotiate some sort of payment offer with the creditor. But make them agree IN WRITING to remove the negative information from your report once they have been paid. Just placing "paid" on your account does not remove information about late payments for collections, so it doesn't help you out at all.
If the information on your report is not yours, or inaccurate, then follow the same procedure. If they still don't remove it, sue them in small claims court for posting unvalidated information on your credit history.

First contact the three credit bureau and find out what's on your credit report. Later pay off the bills as soon as possible. Don't make settlement payments, because it will appear on your report and future creditors will frown upon it. The quickest way of getting your report is online, rather than waiting for a mailed copy. Make sure to print the online copy. If you see something on there that shouldn't be there; you can do a dispute. Its the responsibility of the creditor to prove you owe the bill and that it should appear on your record. Also if possible consolidate your bills to aid in the repayment. That way if you have extra money; you can double your payback. Good luck!

You might go to the site I've listed.
It is a "free" do it yourself credit repair site.
Start by reading in the newbie forum and then do some reading in the credit forum.
If you have any questions after doing some reading, feel free to post it in the credit forum.
Never use a website that charges you for information that you can get for free.

If you owe money, it's best to pay it off. If it's something that's not correct, then dispute it.
