Hawaii is beautiful at the end of October-most of the tourists have left so it's not too crowded either. I've lived in hawaii for 10 years and unless there actually is a hurricane (which is not too common here-big ocean, hard to hit the islands) the weather is beautiful.

October brings beautiful tropical weather. Our rain season is typically in March and April which proved higher than normal this year. All that is behind us and the weather has been tropical since. October is not a busy tourist month prmarily due to students being back in classrooms. Our hotel occupancy rate is around 70% during October gradually increasing into the Holiday months.
BTW, Huricane Iniki passed by in 1992 and one hasn't come our way since. The eye of Hurricane Iniki passed directly over the island of Kauai. It was the first hurricane to hit the state since Iwa in the 1982 season, and the first major hurricane since Hurricane Dot in 1959.
Damage was greatest on Kauai. O'ahu, though not directly in the path, experienced moderate damage from storm surge, though damage was much less here (had to replace a louvre panel on my lanai).
Come on over, you'll have a wonderful time.

Yes! sept. is hot & humid, Oct. gets cooler & starting in sept., oct., nov. the prices of rooms & flights go down because it's off season, so you have less people to deal with & more opportunities for yourself, shorter lines, etc. Oct. also doesn't rain that much. Feb. ,March is the rainiest. Temp between 70-85 F, guaranteed, hardly any fluctuations. Cool breezes. Halloween on Front Street Maui is NUTS! I lived16 years in Maui.

Temperature-wise, it's ALWAYS nice in Hawaii.
In most places, it's....
Summer: low-70s at night, high-80s during the day
Winter: high-60s at night, low-80s during the day
It rains more during the winter, but the rain water is warm enough to swim in.

that is the rain season and hurricane season, so what most people are telling you don't really know much. it is humid year round though, but the sun will shine when the rain is pouring as well. so just be prepared for the weather not being what others tell you.

I think it is always nice. January is wonderful because it is the time the whale are migrating. Any time of the year it is about 80*F.
