i wanna point out that abortion is not the choice af a group or the government its the choice of the woman who wants to get an abortion.

Uhh... I know what you mean! I'm a Christian too. It's probably because they think you're on the wrong side of belief and they want to save you! Because they think you're confused in this hedonistic word and they want to show you the right way to heaven! I personally don't take all the things the Church says for granted, because it's just a matter of interpretation of the Bible. In the end, the only thing that should count is FAITH!

Well if you belive that you could save people from a place of eternal torment wouldnt you do something? I meen all religious principles aside say it was all the rage to go to north korea for the summer wouldnt you try to stop people from going down that road because if they went to sudan theyd probebly be slaughtered. Its the same for christians they think your going to hell so there trying to get you to change your ways. As a catholic i dont think homosexuality is wrong just that marrige is between a man and a women. The catholic church says that getting a strait man to love another man is like trying to get a gay man to love a women we understand that you cant help your sexual prefrences but we still dont want you to get marryed. If you saw a man throwing babys off of the top of the empire state building wouldent you feel pissed? For christians who see fetuses and embreos as humans in there first state abortion is the same thing.
FWI i am a catholic and agree with the catholic church but am trying to get away from the evangelicle christians idea of shoving stuff you dont want to hear down your throat. I feel the same as most when it comes to evangelicle christians (pissed and annoyed)

Because they feel everyone should be as miserable as they obviously are?
I personally don't believe Christians should force their opinions on others. However, I do believe we should share the truth with each other, but not forefully. If I share something and someone chooses to believe and gets a blessing from it then great. If however they choose not to believe, then thats fine. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
I wont tell people how to think. I will help them to understand how I think. I will also teach them how to believe if they wish to learn.
I try never to tell them WHAT to believe or that they SHOULD believe.

i fail to see what's wrong with expressing your interpretation of your faith.
So what - even if you are of the opinion that these things are okay (which I am not, btw) I'm not going to jump down your throat because you don't agree with my beliefs.
so to answer your question: Christians tell others these things, in hope that something might actually sink in, and persuade those in question to re-consider their views...in hopes that they'll change their mind.
As for the concept of Hell...people need to wake up to the reality of that...Hell is the eternity for those who don't follow Christ.
God Bless.

The more persons you influence to reject a lifestyle that will lead you to hell, the better for all. Thats the logic. If you believe that others are doing wrong, you are morally obliged to convince them that they are doing wrong. For example, if you saw someone about to throw a baby off a cliff, you are morally obliged to stop them.

Because Christians are compelled to evangalize. Some are more tactful than others though. Just like anyone else.

Lots of people are close minded and ignorant. Lots of people are Christians. There's bound to be some overlap.
