They are off totally from the other. What does that mean? Also when reading palms which one is the one in my case that I'm supposed to read the right or the left? What does the right hand represent and what does the left hand represent?

I believe one is supposed to tell you about your future, one about your past.

In some gypsy traditions the left is your Hopes, dreams and wishes, the right reality.
In this tradition a palm can only be accurately read on the full moon and only acurately predicts the next 28 days.
You also can not accurately read your own palm because your vision is tainted with previous knowledge.

According to the rules, you are supposed to read the hand you write with. It is supposed to represent more closely what you can DO.
Palmistry is what some uneducated, unscientific person says about your hand that reflects your future. They believe your life is already planned out for you and you just have to go through the motions of living it. They say they can tell you how many children you will have, when birth control is available .Your hand might say 5, but you only want one. What about step-children or abortions?
I believe you make your life with your choices and particular talents. There is "luck" involved and some surprises, but you choose your life, by activity or inactivity.
Wasting your time with palmistry could limit your real choices.

It depends on which is your dominant hand (ie, are you right-handed or left-handed?). You are supposed to read your dominant hand for your more conscious information - for information on the face you put on for the world. Read your non-dominant hand for information on the inner you - the sub-conscious you.
Then, there's the ambidextrous person... no idea how to read that! :)
You can get a lot of info on this at the library. There are always interesting books on palm-reading there - seems like a subject of fairly constant interest.

I really hope you're joking. Palm reading is absolute non-sense. It amazes me how people who think all of the known spiritual truths of God are valueless, yet will believe in total fiction like: palm reading, astrology, and evolution. Please take the time to learn about the real truths of life.
