How is it that we in the west are intolerant when we make sure through legal channels that other religions are accepted and or tolerated? BUT...you will not find the same or even a hint of tolerance in the Muslim religion. All infidels must die? I don't think that shows any tolerance at all. I agree that Christians have shown their intolerance in the past in many of the same ways. I think that is pretty much over now. What happened to you guys? Why is it you have to kill people who don't think like you? Can you help me wit this pretty basic question?

Muslims are today, what Christians were in the 14th century. We've got our work cut out for us to bring them forward in time. I have very little respect for muslims, for this reason. In my opinion, they deserve very little from us. They expect the entire world to "respect" their beliefs, while they do the opposite for everyone else.

I find it one sided that the non religious are often the most tolerant of religious nut cases, and are better at accepting that there are nut cases no matter what religion they hail from, and to not take nut cases personally.
If you actually read the Qu'ran, you'll find it a bit different than what you'd expect. Then compare and contrast to the Christian's bible. Wow, it's pretty much the same story, isn't it? They even recognize Jesus as a prophet, though the Christians don't recognize Muhammed as a prophet (pardon if I spelled the name wrong)
I personally accept and respect an individuals beliefs so long as they're respecting my individual right to not follow their religion. I believe in God, but find organized religion a difficult pill to swallow after extensively studying the history of conflict.

Have you ever met a person who follows Islam? I've met quite a few in college who are from the middle east. In general they are just as tolerant as most Christians. Basically meaning, don't bother them about their beleifs and they won't bother you about yours.
