If they're good enough to play with the men, then they should be allowed. The PGA is supposed to be the best golf in the world, and if that includes women, then let them play.
Of course, Michelle Wie isn't helping the cause any - 5-over through 13 holes so far today. I guess she'll be heading home before the weekend.

I think women are allowed to play if they qualify for a given tournament. But in the past the PGA has made mistakes by giving Michelle Wie and other women special invitations just because she is 16 or they can hit the ball a mile doesn't mean they should be invited to play with men because that is taking away a spot of a harworking indivual trying to make a living.

It really doesn't matter if they play or not. They will never win a tournament.
Let's see. They will only play in the big events due to it being a huge press chance for the PGA. Who plays in the big events? The top five players in the world. They are all men. Hmmm? What does that tell you? It's all for good press. Do you actaully think a lady will win a PGA event???

on condition that they qualify. I genuinely haven't any difficulty letting the most acceptable gamers play. notwithstanding, even as it really is a circus stunt to promote tickets, or the gamers won't be able to compete, that's a humiliation to the game. each of the folk available try to win, they qualified by ability of many tiers and should be the position they are. to easily get a sponsers exemption because you're the flavour of the week is bogus. Make the girls earn it, clone of the boys have. so a procedures the girls have not. not between the girls who've performed in an experience in the most suitable 5 years made the reduce. in common words Susie Whelan genuinely qualified by ability of a valid degree. i presumed that replaced into large. the in common words difficulty, she performed from the girls' tees in the qualifier, even as everybody else in the qualifier performed from the mens'. That replaced into not proper.. yet whats up she said the regulations and did it, compared to others. She nevertheless notwithstanding did not make the reduce. In my ideas, Michelle Wie is pathetic. good golfer yet what she is doing is pathetic. She has not in common words ignored each PGA excursion reduce, yet she is so a procedures off the lead. Does she extremely imagine she will win it?

I agree, if women can qualify for a mens PGA Tour event, then they should get to play. But in Michelle Wie's case, she doesn't have to qualify, she gets sponsors exemptions then can't even make a cut. She should establish herself on the LPGA Tour before trying on the mens tour. Does everyone agree with that? If she can't win on LPGA, why in the world would she play with the men?

If they qualify the same way that the men do why not??? Life is all about competition. Men and women compete for jobs in the real world then why not in the sports world??

Sure, I think that in some cases it helps the sports cause. It broadens horizons and breaks down barriers. If it is encouraged by sponsors then why the heck not?

I do. If they qualify and can play they should. It's called the Professional Golfers Association not The professiona male golfers association.

why not? whenever they play, tv ratings go way up, more people attend, and the sponsers get more money. besides, if they can play, let em.
