If you sincerely prayed several times to be saved do you think you are? I have prayed it often and i believe in the Lord...I just cant seem to change all of my bad ways...what's wrong with me? I want to change, i want to serve the Lord and live right. Plz help.

You didnt get all of your"bad ways" over night, and they wont go away overnight. choose one thing in your life you want to work on and pray for that change. No one said it was easy to be a Christian, It is a day to day struggle , sometimes hour by hour temptation. You pray about the change, then do every thing you honestly know to do, to change that way of life. May mean new friends, new job. and please find a church you are comfortable with, There is a wealth of help in that place,. Be faithful with your attendance, and your prayer for forgiveness, continue to conquer one thing at a time you wish to change. Then move on to the next when you are comfortable. At the beginning of each day, before out of bed, Give your day over to God, ask him to Bless your day and to help you be strong enough to overcome temptation of bad habits. May need to pray this a couple of times a day. When tempted, Ask God to take the temptation and give it back to Satin., then thank him for taking that away.(as though it were so done) Then you are never alone in any temptation, and envoke God and the Holy Spirit to protect you and guide you so that you are pleasing to him. I hope this helped. It is sometimes very hard, but the journey is well worth the trip. If you dont know the serenity prayer, look it up and say it often. Also the "Footprints" repeat as often as needed. God Bless you as you search for peace and comfort with him. Dont try to change all of your life, all at once. Very small steps, and let God lead those steps for you. Study the New testement, Ask for book reccomendations from a pastor in the church you are going to attend..Never forget to Praise God for his loving us and forgiving us Thank him everyday for sending his son to die for our sins, so we can have a life everlasting with him. Thank him for Grace (ie: forgiveness that is not deserved) everyday. Hang in there, its worth every step you will take. Accept him as your personal savior. If you have not been baptized, please study w/ a pastor and do so. for it is there, that your sins are washed away. and new life begins for you.

First, the first person that posted is really off. You cannot look at the "history" book of the bible and base doctrine off of it. So disregard what he said.

Second, if you love Jesus and you know Jesus and you have accepted Jesus in your life as you personal Lord and Savior than you are saved from hell. You don't have to pray that prayer again, once saved always saved. Romans 8:35 says, "Who shall separated us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecutions, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?"

Now that you know that, you have to realize that you can't change overnight, period. Some things take time. The only way to change is to know the God that you serve, the only way to know the God that we serve is to read his love letters that he left for us, which is the Holy Bible. You need accountability, somebody to teach and guide you. You need to be in a healthy, well balanced church with believers that hold each other up. If you have asked Jesus to come into your life and be your personal saviour, then you are saved! Pray as much as you can, read the Bible - mainly the New Testament, go to church, find Christian friends, ask God to bless you with the Holy Spirit that will guide you and help you! It will all help you to become a strong Christian! All the answers are in the Bible! When you become a Christian, it makes the devil mad so he tries anything and everything he can to get you to do something bad! to get you to give up and turn back. But you need to be strong and pray hard! And God will protect you!! Just trust Him!

Salvation is a gift offered to you from the moment of your birth, all you had to do was ask for it. You have done that.

You are changed, not in the way you thought but in God's way.

Know you are saved and as you address there areas in life that are troubling you know God is there with you. If you slip up or out right fail God still love you and you still have your salvation.

sincerely, trying to be better is as good a actually being better in God's eyes.

You will never be perfect on this side of the cross. But God will see you as perfect if in your heart you are trying to be the best you can be.

Nowhere does the Bible say to "pray and accept Christ." Look through the Book of Acts - every record of salvation shows people being baptized to wash away their sins (Acts 22:16), because baptism is what saves us today (1Peter 3:21), by the resurrection of Jesus.

Work on changing your ways one step at a time. No human being can easily change all of their habits that formed over many years in one day. Keep praying and try to stay away from people and places that reinforce the habits you wish to change. Seek the company of those who will help you and support the changes you desire in yourself. You CAN do it. Do not give up on yourself.

If you knock, the door to GOD will open for you.
No one can tell you if you are saved but GOD.
GOD will show you thru many different ways.
It takes a good “listener” to hear or see the answer from GOD.

Everything belongs to GOD as he is the creator of all. But GOD wants to make it fair for everyone (including the fallen angle) so the only thing that GOD give us is “the will to choose” between all things.
Didn’t GOD shown you the “right way” before you choose the “bad way”?
If so, you have not give yourself a chance to listen for answers.

Try the Spirit's to see if they are of GOD.
1. Do you know that you know that JESUS CHRIST was the CREATOR.
2. Do you know that you know that JESUS CHRIST became a Man, (came in the FLESH), on this EARTH.
3. Do you know that you know that JESUS CHRIST Died on the CROSS for our SIN's.
4. Do you know that you know that JESUS CHRIST was Raised from the Dead by the FATHER Above.

You are Born-Again.
You are a Child of GOD and your Goal on the EARTH is to become as CHIRST-LIKE as you can.

the only thing you need to do is be yourself, do what ever you want to do, and i am talking about good and bad things and one day you will find out that doing somethings don´t full your spectates and you will change on the way and you are going to be on the rigth way, remember no body learns from anybodies experiences you need to have yours. a new born never stand and walk and to walk, bite to many times the floor until he can control him self. so don´t worry just be you.

You are not alone. We all have things that we want to change about ourselves. It takes time so don't think that there is something wrong with you. In order to change from your bad ways, you have to want to change your ways. You then have to decide to change your behavior. Finally you have to continue to persist in doing what is right. It's just like if you wanted to quit smoking. If you don't want to quit, then it's not going to happen. If you don't make a decision to quit, then you will continue to smoke. And if you don't constantly remind yourself that you are quitting from cigarettes, then you will relapse. I am glad you want to do the right thing. God luck and God bless.
