Most Christians have yet to read the ENTIRE Bible! They can memorize a quote or two but that's about it! Is this book not interesting? Are you unable to get into it? Does it capture your attention? Obviously not!!

I've tried to read it once, but I couldn't get more than 30 pages, then I died of boredom.

Yarn. Most people don't READ their entire textbooks, but they still know that 2 + 2 = 4. Gimme a break. The bible is not a novel to be read like fiction. I am a Christian b/c Jesus died for my sins and I am grateful. That has nothing to do with whether or not I finished reading all the names in the book of Numbers or not. By the way, I read my bible everyday and enjoy it. Try it sometime.

I became a Christian when I was 18. I'm 45 now. I have read the entire Bible and continue to reread it. I can vouch for it. It's 100% true. I not only believe it but have a personal relationship with its original Author.

As far as what "MOST" people of any category believe or think...that word is a mighty big paintbrush. I have to say, I don't know MOST people in this world. I know a lot of folks, but that is precious few, compared to how many individuals populate this planet.

Many of the first churches didn't have a full bible, only parchments, or copies of letters from the Apostles, yet they believed. I think it is more important to really get the bottom line. The Bible is God's love letter to his children (those who seek him). If you are reading the Bible with no intention of believing the words therein, don't be surprised if it doesn't make sense, you are reading somebody else's mail.

I think if you are a truly committed Christian in today's world then you will WANT to read the Bible cover to cover (over and over and over again.).

For those of the Christian Faith The Bible is not intended to be read as a novel or "text" book. It is a life long study that can not be finished in a mortal lifetime. We get throughwhat we can in the time God gives us. Then we go on to Him and finish The Book.

I did not even own a bible on the day of my Salvation. But all that I have read in it, over the 6+yrs of my Walk of Faith, conferms The Truth of my Salvation.

here is a link to the Bible page of my website for more of my pov on the general subject of The Book and all the other God Stuff.

I didn't read the entire bible but when I do I pray to God that he would speak to me through his word an that he would give me understanding! It works....I highlight everything I read as I go along....and yes it captures my attention because it just so happen to help me out and encourage me in what ever I'm going through whether it's good or bad :).

Many many Christians have read the entire Bible through. Oh, and that wouldn't negate the validity of any of their quotes either.

Its the word of God, not just a story. Have you read it?

I'm reading it, I read it daily. I've read a lot of the Bible already and I'm a new Christian. ( although I studied Christianity before)
I don't just read a page once, I study it to find out its true meaning. I find out who wrote it, when and the context in which it was written. Its one thing to read the book, its another to actuially study it.

Your question presupposes a particular answer before your even done...
I have read it many times.
A better question would be "Can somoene truly believe in God without ever reading a bible." to which I answer "yes".
How can one believe a book one has never read?

Simply because Church prohibits them from education. Church tells them that they need higher priest to explain what it is. Remember Bible was written for idiots 3000 years ago. Modern idiots needs a new explanation so the only Church can fit anything into anything and make connections. lack of Education is the best bet for church.

properly you're determined no longer to believe and hence you lack expertise. you be conscious i think the completed opposite, how can a grown individual no longer position self belief in God. one ingredient is certain those with suggestions like yours always look so offended even as believers have peace.
