Drink more water and this will cease. Water will help prevent tiny tears in your muscles.

Pain is natures way of telling you something's wrong. It could be you are running too much, or it could be your shoes or something simple.
One problem which occurs in running around basketball courts and other areas is you are always turning, going around in a circle. This puts pressure on one leg as it bears the weight when you turn. If it is possible, try running in the opposite direction every other day. Or run on a treadmill or trail where you can go in a straight line. Or try running half your laps one direction and the other half the other.
Hope this helps, but if the problem continues, see a doctor.

That is extremely unlikely unless you are breathing too quickly. I personally like to breathe in for every two or three steps and breathe out for every two. Make sure that you are drinking plenty of water during the day as well, as dehydration causes these sharp pains in your sides known as cramps. Also, potassium helps prevent these cramps, so take a multi-vitamin each morning with breakfast or put a banana on your cereal or something. Hope this helps, and good luck with your running!

You are running in a circle around a basketball court, correct? Maybe you are getting tired from leaning in one direction. Try running in a strait line or switching directions.
