They both are humanistic in beleif, neither group seems to do any educated research before opening their stink holes, and your paganistic beleif system is still breeding hate!!Aethists you say you live by morals and ethics, where do these come from?? Christians you claim to follow the messiah, lets see he kept all the laws and taught peace, how many can claim they are doing that???All I'm saying is for two groups of people who have so many things in common, they should probably get along. Maybe the aetheists can give me some sort of equation why this is??, Or maybe the christians can tell me where in scripture it says to breed hate amongst people who wont follow blindly into a religion that has obviously failed mankind, since it was made by mankind just like the aetheist point of view......... I guess that both are tentative!!!

For all the people who think I made an assumption watch YA,or go to any blog where this is debated. The only reason people tolerate eachother in face to face talks is cause they rarely take place I mean aside from the mormon who knocks on your door. When was the last time you were at the mall (or any public place)and heard a gruop debating religion

they get along sometimes, just disagree in religious thingies.
I do agree with you though. I guess the spectrum is a circle, those on opposite ends are actually right next to each other.

That's a ton of questions, I'll answer your first one. Atheists and Christians DO get along. Maybe they don't on the internet when specifically talking about their beliefs (or non beliefs), but in reality, the two groups get along pretty well. Also, you said some things that weren't true in your questions, maybe you should take your own advice and do some "research" before you come and ask a bunch of questions with false assumptions.

Whoa...slow down there big boi....you might want to relax and take a chill pill. The discussions going on here are nothing new, but you are new to the discussions. Granted there are a few (as in not many) people that get carried away on both sides of the issue. Trust me they don't last long. Stick around and add something to the discussion without tearing us down. Without the "Christian" side and the "Atheist" side butting heads it would just turn into a one-sided lecture/dialogue and it wouldn't be very interesting!
Hang in there!!!

My best friend is an Atheist. He has been my best friend for several years and I am Christian. Beliefs should play no role in the friends you choose. I don't care what they believe in, as long as they are good people with morals I don't mind being their friend. Some Christians think just because Atheists don't believe in God that they are bad people, but that's not true. Atheists do not have to believe in God to have good morals. There are come Christians who are immoral too. I respect everyone's beliefs and I don't spend my time trying to convert people to Christianity. I will not let my beliefs get in the way of me making friends.

Hahaha, this is funny, did you know that there are many educated christians. I would say to you my friend that you should do some research yourself. Christianity is a wonderful religion and we don't hate athiests. We do pray for them. I think you have the wrong idea about what jesus is about, go read John in the bible and it will give you a better understanding.

IMHO If in basic terms shall we all stay by the party of Jesus. inspite of in case you do not believe, which i did not use to, you ought to admit He became a best guy. this is the religiosity that skewed His message. this is the individuals that act like the clergymen of His time that reason the separation. you recognize, those that decide, criticize & condemn. those that He prayed for, alongside with the roman infantrymen that tortured Him, saying, Father, forgive them for they recognize no longer what they do. I surely have cutting-edge in even attempting to be an inkling like Him, Jesus, i'm fairly humbled. I surely have a relationship with Jesus, His Holy Spirit which will convict my heart if i'm judgmental, finished of delight & haughty, questioning i recognize all of it. So, in my idea as a christian, if i'm following Jesus to the finest of my ability I should be attempting to regulate this stuff in my small piece of the international, no longer feed the terror which breeds chaos & violence. To me, the failings that you're speaking of, the separation, is what the devil is all about. (by devil, you are able to placed any word there that matches you, damaging skill, etc.) Have a exceptional day!

The problem with it is you assume all Christians hate all Athiests and vice versa. I'm a Christian and I have a close Athiest friend whom I love dearly, and she cares for me right back. It's dangerous to assume a broad generalization like that. Look at things at a closer, more personal level, and I think you will find that Athiests to not hate Christians and Christians do not hate Athiests.

Both parties have no idea how the other party could come to such a conclusion. But this is generalizing
There are lots of humans from both parties that get along with the each other.

Many Christians try to convert athiests over to being Christian, which is what Jesus tells us to do, spread the word. The fact that athiests do not accept the good news is really their own loss, and the correct thing to do to an athiest who won't accept Jesus is to shun him or her. Hate isn't the correct way to handle them, just ignoring them as if they don't exist.

The problem is that you spit a fair amount of vitriol that you so want to get rid of. Also, what makes you the authority? And I'm not so sure you know what the word "tentative" means.
